Thank You all for your insights!

For me, I'd love an EV for a distance that doesn't require an extended charging stop. That translates to an approx 250km distance.

Absolutely. My experience on these three journeys was quite as you have mentioned except that ride quality wise Mytrah = Volvo but Olectra was nowhere as good.

It's very safe to stay inside the car/bus while it charges because the passenger has no contact with the ground. In fact when the bus is moving as well it charges using regenerative breaking. In the ZS EV, I have seen regeneration producing up to 60 kW of energy while slowing down from high speeds equivalent to a DC fast charger.
Absolutely right about AAA Bhavan Delight. Their fortunes are "guaranteed" as long as their chargers are reliable and users are happy.

On the safety part, my only concern is a possible battery fire and the resulting consequence during charging (even while refueling petrol, diesel, CNG and LPG vehicles, it is recommended to exit the vehicle)

I forgot to mention in my post - the Nuego had Roots Vibrosonic horns that were placed to sound outside, while the KSRTC had horns that blared inside; wrong positioning. Also, I agree on the waiting time. As already mentioned, if GreenCell mobility doesn't address this, they're going to lose customers (example me).

Agree. We must encourage new tech, and can suffer minor inconvenience like say 20 mins extra waiting for charging, but extended charging stops aren't acceptable.

As far as I know, Nuego and KSRTC takes an odd cargo in their storage underneath, but do not put any load above, as they don't even have a provision for this.

On long distance, actually all buses it is really worth exploring battery swapping - it will completely change the game in terms of these pit stops

Re: Intercity Electric Buses Review | Nuego Mytrah vs KSRTC Olectra

I did the Mumbai-Pune round trip on MSRTC e-shivneri (their electric bus service) late last year. I was pleasantly surprised by the ride quality and noise levels. Absolutely wonderful. In addition, the bus was pulling nicely on the ghat stretch with it's nice torgue output. An added plus was that even last row seating was quite with no rear engine causing increased noise levels. AC was nice and powerful for beating the october heat.

My only complaint was that this service has not made any difference to the travel time with many boarding and alighting points along the way.

I feel like a better alternative to having two separate buses for the route would be having hot swappable batteries, although I'm not sure if current battery technology allows for such enormous batteries to be swappable while still having an ample amount of space left for luggage.
