The GPS devices will help the transport authorities monitor the movement of oxygen tankers as the state continues its fight against the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. The devices are also expected to improve the turnaround time.

According to FADA Maharashtra Chairperson, Amar Jatin Sheth, the dealer body has already placed the order for the GPS devices and has started installing them on the tankers from this week.

Meanwhile, Mahindra has launched a free Oxygen on Wheels service to transport oxygen to hospitals that are facing shortages.

Re: FADA raises Rs. 10 lakh to install GPS on Oxygen tankers

Great move! This data needs to be transparently shared with all the stakeholders involved: central/state governments, Oxygen suppliers and the hospitals.

I hope they are putting together a centralized portal in place to manage the supply chain. Delhi CM has tried to do something for the capital, however we need this at All India level to manage the situation and save lives
