Bridgestone has launched the V-STEEL Mix M721 - a new drive axle tyre for commercial vehicles. It is meant specifically for the general cargo, long haul, highway application.



The company claims that this tyre addresses issues of tyre mileage, fuel efficiency and cut-chip resistance, thereby resulting in increased tyre life and better retreadability.



The commercial vehicle segment is focussed on optimising total cost of operations to achieve higher profitability. The V-STEEL Mix M721 is targeted towards the general cargo segment, which is the largest portion of the commercial vehicle segment. It is claimed to deliver 15% higher tyre mileage, resulting in a reduction in cost per kilometre for the fleet operators.



Bridgestone claims that the V-STEEL Mix M721 has a low rolling resistance compound, deeper tread depth and tie bar. With this, Bridgestone is aiming to establish a strong positioning in the drive axle tyre category.
