Hyderabad receives new Bharat Benz trucks for garbage compaction & disposal

GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) today inducted over 50 Bharat Benz trucks for garbage compaction and disposal. This is supposedly the largest solid waste management fleet in India.

These modern trucks are a sea change when compared to old blue coloured Ashok Leyland tippers owned by GHMC. They used to spew smoke and garbage used to fly from them despite being covered by tarpaulins.
