Maruti's new website for its commercial vehicles

Maruti Suzuki launches a separate webpage for its commercial channel.

My take on this: The upcoming BVNCAP norms will probably see the end of Omni, Eeco and Gyspy. I understand since these norms are mainly for passenger vehicles, and not commercial, these models will eventually be sold through their commercial channel. Or is my understanding wrong here?

Re: Maruti's new website for its commercial vehicles

Dealer network seems rather limited as of now.

Kataria Automobiles - Ahmedabad Gujarat
Premier Car World - Ankurhati, P.O Salap,Dist. Howrah , West Bengal
Stan Auto - Giaspur, G.T Road Ludhiana Punjab
Karnal Motors Pvt Ltd - G. T. ROAD, KARNAL, Haryana
Fortune Cars - BHIWADI

I guess they should also move out the Omni, Eeco and Dzire Tour to this platform.

Those 5 dealers were a part of the pilot project, as they wanted to test how the product is received.

After March, they have started expanding at a faster pace. Sales and service training was done way back in April-May. And I have seen new dealer hoardings coming up in industrial cities of Bokaro, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur.

Shashi

I have seen fresh examples of Carry standing near Maruthi showroom at Salem, so I guess Salem also have a dealership.

Do web sites of commercial vehicle OEMs also have websites in Hindi, Punjabi, Telgu and other Indian languages which most of their customers will be more familiar with.

Re: Maruti's new website for its commercial vehicles

Well, in Japan Suzuki "Kei" trucks are very popular. In fact it would seem they are more popular than Suzuki's cars there (not a fact, just a thought). I have always wondered why they don't launch it in India, since the Tata ace has done really well since its inception. This is a step in the right direction, these vehicles could be very popular in both rural/urban areas.

Don't know about dedicated websites, but Maruti has published the owners manual in many languages.

Re: Maruti's new website for its commercial vehicles

Apparently inspite of the slowdown for the bigger commercial vehicles the sales of the small commercial vehicles has grown faster than last year.

Maruti has sold 30000 of the Carry pickup. The first 10000 took 20 months and the next 20k was achieved in 10 months. Might be the next focus area for Maruti.

Drive on,
Shibu.
