Mahindra's luxury yacht - the Odyssea 55 Mahindra Marine, the Indian conglomerate's boat making division, has unveiled a new product in its lineup - the Odyssea 55. Part of the Mahindra Odyssea designer series of speed boats, the Odyssea 55 luxury yacht is the company's flagship offering and comes with various customization options.
True to its name, the new Mahindra yacht is 55-feet (16.8 m) long, with a 13 feet (4.0 m) beam. A boat's beam is its width at the widest point, measured at the waterline, i.e., the line where the hull meets the surface of the water.
It is powered by twin-434 BHP Yanmar engines that supply power to a shaft propulsion system sourced from Michigan Marine. The Odyssea 55 boasts of a top speed of 26 knots, which equates to around 48 Km/h.
Being a luxury yacht, the Mahindra Odyssea 55 comes with a fully air-conditioned master cabin, separate crew cabin, day saloon, generator power back-up and sun beds. It is also equipped with solar panels for charging the electronic system of the boat when at sea. The crew cabin is located in the lower deck and can house 4 persons.
The Odyssea 55 will be the fourth boat in Mahindra's luxury yacht portfolio, after the Odyssea 22, Odyssea 33 and Odyssea 35. The company also manufactures commercial boats, patrol boats and defense boats. Link to Team-BHP News |
