Mahindra has entered the digital marketplace for intra-city logistics with the launch of SmartShift - a load exchange platform for cargo owners (businesses and individuals) and transporters, which will enable them to work together.



SmartShift can be accessed through an Android app, a website or a call centre. It will be rolled out in Mumbai next month and then over the rest of India in a gradual manner. Mahindra claims that it is launching the platform after conducting over 2,000 hours of consumer research. The company also claims that it would result in a reduction in cost and travel time.

With SmartShift, Mahindra aims to offer transparent pricing, a one-click booking process and the ability to track cargo after dispatch.

• Choose from a range of certified and trained SmartShifters
• Track the selected SmartShifter to ensure that the consignment is delivered
