An ode to a man who has inspired millions of hearts.

Employees of Trivandrum Central Workshop (the central workshop of Kerala State Road Transport Corporation aka KSRTC) had shown a gesture to salute the inspiration of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam sir, by building a new bus, without taking a single paisa as pay.

Close to 350 employees from various unit of the group, worked extra time for two weeks to roll out this brand new Special edition Super Fast.

A truly deserving tribute to the person who continues to instil the goodness of a teacher.

This is awesome news. Kerala is usually not known for a generous work culture from the daily wagers. This truly reflects what Mr. Abdul Kalam was & how much he influenced the aam aadmi.

Very good gesture. How I wish we all worked extra on 15th Aug and 26th Jan rather than just try to "enjoy".

On a lighter note...
APJ will be happier if there are lesser flash strikes !!

The KSRTC employees are known for such gestures. The employees of the Regional Workshop Mavelikkara (RWM) had rolled out the 17000th bus (with bonnet number 17000 - as is the practice with the KSRTC, to assign only numbers as the bonnet/fleet number to every thousandth bus) without their pay and incentives for completing the body of the bus.
