Re: A Close Look: The Eicher-Polaris Multix

Thank you for the review! Looks like a very thoughtfully built MPV for the budding small/medium and mobile businesses in our country.
If it is built solidly it has a hit written all over it.

Re: A Close Look: The Eicher-Polaris Multix

All round independent suspension suggests that this will be a comfortable people mover. Everything about the Multix suggests 'Simple & Practical' and this might work in favour of it considering the abuse it will be subject to. Under body protection for the engine and tranny too.

Nice one Looks like a smaller stripped down version of Polaris Ranger all terrain vehicle.

Not only independent, but opting for cheap motorcycle type shocks have made them "Adjustable" as well.

Should be something they should be proudly advertising.

Wish it all the success it deserves.

Cheers

Logging in after ages.

Wish they had thrown in a 4wd option. That would have truly completed the package.

Re: A Close Look: The Eicher-Polaris Multix

Innovative product. Still figuring out what to call it. Sounds like a big hit among rural folks

It can move people, cargo as well as power backup !! Phew. Kudos to Eicher Motors. I continue to sob for not owning a single share of your company

Sir, am so glad to know that you have become the dealer for this INNOVATIVE CUTE LITTLE VEHICLE. Hope you can customize this one like you always do on MM550s, Land Rovers and other 4X4s

I'm tremendously impressed and am tempted to buy a Polaris Multix MX even though I dont find a need to buy this vehicle

Re: A Close Look: The Eicher-Polaris Multix

Very interesting.
They should bring out one with power steering AC disc brake and price at 3 lakh. Then it would be hit as people luggage mover in suburbs.
Add 4wd and can become a real adventure tourer.
One thing though.
Always thought that greaves diesel motors are ultra efficient but mahindra jeeto being bigger more powerful have beaten this one on efficiency hands down. Will watch for real world figures.

Dear Jyobeb - hello there (after a very long time I think)! It is very nice to know that you are the dealer for this vehicle. Therefore, I believe you will know the origin of this 510cc engine, as also the details of the original vehicle in which this engine was first used in a mass produced automotive application @ >3000 vehicles per month, month after month after month! ()!

I intend to start a separate thread shortly, but just no time to do so!

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

PS - how's your Safari with the station wagon body progressing?

I am interested to buy one for my factory. When I booked a test-drive through their website, I got a call within minutes. When I told them I am from Mumbai they just hang up! I don't know what to do. Please advice, I am Ok to buy the Multix cross from Nashik itself.

Re: A Close Look: The Eicher-Polaris Multix

Deliveries of the Multix have started. Mr. Ganesh Narayan Choudhary has become the first owner of Multix in the country, with four other customers receiving their keys as well. Multix showrooms are present in 32 cities and buyers can book the utility vehicle at a price of Rs. 2,999/-.
