Re: Tata Motors @ The Bus & Special Vehicle Show, 2015

Though this would not be a major deal-breaker for the customer base.

The bus 'looks a bit crude'. Stenciled switches, cheesy dash design and out dated dials just add to that. However I guess what matters to the customers (rightly so) would be the reliability, travel comfort, mileage and service intervals.

However, Marcopolos in servive with Bangalore's BMTC has had a bad name. I know of many people who prefer waiting for next Volvo bus rather than getting in to Marcopolo's.

There was a news last week about BMTC deciding to scrap its entire fleet of BMTC. Link.

Also, noticed 3 point seat belts in luxury bus. Is this a first ?

In Marcopolo front engine buses, though front widescreen is large, the driver visible space is very much low. Thanks to dashboard which is placed high and inappropriate driver seat position.
Blind spot is so high that even a two wheeler just infront of bus will be hidden.
