Re: A 100 BHP Bajaj Auto Rickshaw - 600cc CBR engine!

The guys at Bajaj/KTM can surely do a similar or better job by using the KTM 690 engine on the Bajaj Auto. And the way KTM prices its product in India, they can surely price this one at around 3 to 3.5 lacs ex-showroom.

Re: A 100 BHP Bajaj Auto Rickshaw - 600cc CBR engine!

So this guy imported an auto? And then modified it?

Classic case of wanting what you don't have. We import supercars, they import silly cars

Re: A 100 BHP Bajaj Auto Rickshaw - 600cc CBR engine!

It makes more sense to add a pair of wings to this 100 BHP Bajaj auto as it may fly better than it would drive with that engine

Re: A 100 BHP Bajaj Auto Rickshaw - 600cc CBR engine!

When I read the title I thought I am entering a topic similar to "Weird and Whacky Mod Jobs". This sure is weird and whacky and add crazy to that, but this is probably the first weird and whacky mod which also happens to be desirable.

Hats Off to him. Though as pointed out earlier, this is far from being a safe ride.

EDIT: I happen to have a Bajaj Super 150cc. The engine is side mounted and the other side is empty. Gives me wicked ideas !!

100 BHP Auto!! Wow. That would be fun to drive than the current underpowered and economy oriented hatches and few sedans in India.

Anyone here has any idea as to what happened to the Custom chopper with a Verna Diesel engine?

And no one has asked 'kitna deti hai'!

Almost a midengined design, but hope insurance covers roasted bums.

No differential. Will be perfect for donutting!

One BHPian once mentioned "safety is culture" in other thread and now we see a seatbelt even in the auto-rickshaw which was modified by a guy living in some country where every vehicle is supposed to be having basic safety features.

Our car manufacturers need to learn a lot from this guy.

Oh, now after seeing mention of the 'FarCry 4' game in the end of the video, I guess this video series is related to promotion of the game. 18th Nov is supposed to be release date of the game.

In game location will be Indian Himalayas in the FarCry 4 where auto-rickshaws are used as one of the in-game vehicles. Though those autorickshaws have steering wheels instead of handlebar.

It looks quite a hot rod stuff.Great build. But,few questions popped in my mind.
How is he doing the mod so neatly? No spills and no blackening? (say Foose or Orange county too)
How is it that what ever he needs (say equipments/parts) is right there with him?
How long before such an ecosystem be available here?
How long will it take before modding is legalised in India?

If you see his videos, one will be amazed by the amount of equipment he owns. It's envious. I wish I had a garage like that.
