I was recommended by my Brother in law when i had a freak accident with my dads car( hyundai verna) ended up in scratching the rear door badly. Had got a quote from hyundai Authorised service station for redoing the job on the door and full painting of the brown ( kyara) colour. They had quoted Rs.4500 for the full job.

When i called the Bosch car care centre they quoted me 3k for it. so decided to try them

Called up Mr.Anantharaman and fixed up an appointment and went there. The centre is bang opposite to the AVM studios just next to union bank. It has a meguiar wax board on the road for identification.

A small place. but there were a lot of cars. was escorted and treated cordially and was told that my car would be ready the next day evening. and i gor a call promptly the next day asking me to come and pick up.

i was terribly surprised when i went there. the paint job was fantastic. just great. they even have a hot oven room just like the Authorised service centres. Painting was spotless and exact match to the original colour. ( i believed the brown in verna was a patented colour available only in Hyundai unlike other reds and blues of common car).

In addition to the painting job they do general service with trained technicians.

they also do
1.power wash
2. car detailing (exterior)with (meguiar wax and other meguiar stuff), interior cleaning and detailing ( this interior detailing they remove the carpet on the floor and clean it too along with the seats and other regular dashboard stuff and costs only 2k for sedans which no other workshop i know does)
3 anti rust treatments
4 they also have all bosch spares like battery, sparkplugs and others too
5. they offer some kind of memberships too and they offer discounts to members

They also have insurance tieup and will do cashless insurance jobs


I am very impressed with the quality of painting and powerwash they have done and the interior detailing ( done for my brotherinlaw car corolla). so i am going to try other things too next time

the only sore point is that they do pick up only in surrounding 2kms around vadapalani, so i had to go twice to leave and take my car back

Geeash Thank You for the feedback,One of my colleague had gone there for the service and told me that services is good.

They convinced him for the floor mat (2inch thick mat) which keeps the heat from underneath coming in and he was also convince due to their service.

Overall the feedback is good ,but people who are away from vadapalani cannot try them,especially people from south chennai

yes the service was good. i would definitely recommend it for painting job and detailing as they have a hot oven room for closed painting jobs. they dont do it in open unlike other painting centers. and they do it at 60-70% cost of what the authorized service center quote. i was impressed by the car detailing too as they use meguiars. they even sell meguiar stuff there

Do they do dent repair as well or only scratch repair?
What about the pricing, do they sell meguiars stuff at US prices?

They do both at nominal price
they sell meguiar stuff, it works out more or less the same price

How can we put a 2inch thick floor mat? I am assuming they put it under the existing floor mat. what was the material used and how much did it cost?

They do dent repairs as well and price should be less than direct manufacturer's

Am talking about the mat which is under the floor mat and yes it is 2inch thick and gradually it will reduce to one inch as days go by

Went there yesterday to get my number plates fixed. They do not do retail sales for Meguair's products anymore. They stock MyShaldan car perfumes (looked genuine to me) and Wurth window washer liquid concentrate.

Today i had gone to give my dads car verna for exterior polishing, interior cleaning and carpet and upholstery cleaning and minor paint jobs. will get my car back on friday probably.

I even saw some BMW 5 series there for exterior and interior cleaning.

The car has come back spotless from Bosch Car Care centre. Had given my Verna for some Tinkering and Painting job of the Rt front fender+ Exterior Polishing/ Interior total detailing.

The paint job is done to factory finish after removing the dent. The car is absolutely spotless after the detailing.

The interior full detailing was done by removing the seats and removing the OEM carpet. Shampoo clean of all the seats and carpet done and drying done.And was fixed back without a single rattle from the car.

With the amount of stains on the seat after 5 years of ownership the car is just looking fantastic and awesome.

Had taken a few pics when i went there for pick up. Posting the pics here so that i can let the pics do the talking

Since i am their regular customer they gave me a complimentary touching up of scratches all over the car for free !!!. Terribly impressed

The job of total detailing costed me 4500 Bucks + 3k for the painting and tinkering job for the front rt fender

2k for the interior and 2.5k for the exterior. This is the only place where they remove the carpet and clean it in chennai. Not even OEM *** does it. I guess it is a steal for the cost

The quality of the exterior job is better than the 3M fellows though it is 0.5k expensive as i have seen it to last longer and good in quality too

Added to it the complimentary touch up of paint in small scratches was the show stealer as the car looks hot and great now

I am planning to take the membership here which costs me 7.5k which entitles me 6 such treatments ( exterior + full interior+ powerwash) in a year which i think is worth the money here.

The membership scheme

I am going to join the 6 service per year scheme (A). Have talked to Mr.Anantharaman. I personally think 12 such service / year is a bit too much.

As for the 6 service/year thingy , i have requested mr. anantharaman to allow 3 sevice / year for my linea and 3/service/year for my verna so that i can keep both the car in good shape. He has acceded to my request since both the cars belong to same category. I personally think such service for the car once every 4 months is good enough to keep the cars in good shape.
