There are quite a few pumps on OMR, but have not really patronised them to know if they are good or not. I usually stick to the BPCL on Cathedral road, which in my asessment seems to be a good one, going by the FE I get. Before this, I used to fuel up at the HPCL pump near Kamakshi hospital (off the Chennai One aka Kuppai road) - was an OK pump.

^^^Naah, it's quite far - Cathedral road is near the Gemini flyover at Nungambakkam. The US embassy is on this road. It is enroute my way to work, so fill up there.

There is a good BP bunk on OMR after you cross SRP junction. Just a couple of kms from Ascendas. You tell us where you live so we could suggest something on route to your workplace.

My work is at ASV Suntech Park. I just moved to Chennai to oversee a project. I am temporarily staying at Asiana Place @ Ascendas. Yet to find a place to stay.

This (point B) will be your best bet. I used to regularly fuel here when I was working in the OMR.

As mentioned above the Ekayars at Venkatnarayana Road is really a good one! Everytime I go there, they clean the windshields. The Courtesy shown by the staff is very good. Also they have two Air Pumps in operation for Cars alone which definitely helps in getting the air filled up pretty quickly!

These are the ones which i think are good in chennai.

1) Ekayars at Venkatanarayana Road
2) Shell Porur
3) Shell Vadapalani
4) BP in the Ponamalle High Road just after the Kathipara (when you are going towards Porur)
6) BP before the Chellam Signal (the bigger one)

You mean the BP near MIOT hospital?
What about the diesel prices in Shell bunks? What is the difference? Thanks.

No. Have heard that the one opposite to MIOT hospital seems to Cheat on quantity a lot. They used to very good when it comes to Petrol or diesel. But they got very greedy after the last hike in Diesel (the one before the current one)

I used to be a regular at the BP next to the Ashok Leyland building. This is on the right side after you cross the 'Chellam' signal, coming from Kathipara side.

Nowadays, since my home is on ECR, I use the BP next to the Neelangarai police station , on the right side on ECR, as you come from Thiruvanmiyur.

Yes. If I remember it right, it belongs to some lorry owners association. When I was working at Navalur I used to fill up there. The only downside was most of the time the Air Pump used to be out of order. But heard they have rectified it.

There are two BP bunks before this signal, depending on which direction you are coming from. One from litte mount side (not possible now) and one from Guindy side (this one is adjacent to Spic). So which one do you mean?

Air/Nitrogen is available all the time, nowadays.
