Now you guys tell me
. Why don't the ICER's create a comprehensive
ADVICE collection of articles, as per the section we have for cars?

But my only problem is plastic rattling of front doors and some other parts in my car, as i was low on budget at the time of speaker installation i didn't went for sound dampening.

Spend 5 - 8 grand on it. It's well worth the cost + effort. All your door panels will have to be removed, so ensure that you visit a pro-installer. This is what a damped door looks like:

Long time since I made an ICE recommendation, but looking at your post, I guess you need a well-equipped HU, and a GPS system to mate it with.

GTO I like the integration in your car but still there are some gaps seen in the pics on the dash. This is the most important of all my requirements, if this isn possible then I won't be doing this at all.
|
The gaps you see on either side of the HU are even. This is as clean as an after-market HU install can look. If you want an absolute flush-fit (like the OEM HU), I guess you'll have to buy a Honda Civic OEM HU from another country (that gives you the features you want).

Well, you are in the midst of mad car enthusiasts here
. I didn't think twice before spending 3 times the book value of my Jeep on a new engine, or 50 grand on alloys + tyres for my ol' Honda City. Yup, we are a bunch of (happy) nuts.

,and since you got an amazing deal on the car itself, makes it all the more worth it I guess.

Good point. The beauty of buying used is, you can splurge on modifications and still end up saving (vis a vis a new car). My Civic's going to be treated to a lot more goodies!

Like you said, your fine even with your jeeps speakers, It's more of which song is playing

Or for that matter, the 6,000 rupee music system at my office that I spend most waking hours listening to. I don't think a pro-audio system is
required to really *enjoy* music. It's good to have...sure...but the songs you listen to are more important.
Okay, I'm off the ICE section now and back to my engines.
