Somebody... If you look at the sub from the back (once you remove it from the box) it will have a model no. like WS-306F or WS-306C. Whatever the suffix, F or C, its mentioned in Pioneer's model nos.

Pioneer Notation is like this

DVC -> Double Voice Coil (sealed use)
C -> Single Voice Coil (sealed use)
F -> Single Voice Coil (free air use)

now u have a dvc it is a sealed box use not a free air type and if u use this woofer in a free air application the power rating will be reduced to 25 % of the max i.e 100 watts only.

On one of my first dates with my current wife I took about 60 mins explaining to her how an automartic tranmission works. She never lets me forget that.

Debonair systems......

If i remember correctly these guys were banned 10-12 yrs back for posting pics of high profile 'netaji''s daughter.so they may have started making these systems.

i hope their systems r not as 'cheap' as girls in their magazine.

I have a db meter with a max range of 130 db. My sound system crosses the 131.5 db mark and show OVER on the display it mean the sound is much more than 131.5 thats why i was searching for a higher range db meter to find out how much it can so

Also i have check the spread of the freq curve by plotting the db output of the freq given out by the sound system and i saw a fine nice most flat curve from my latest setting

Just got curious about the type of systems the movie theatres use i.e, the drivers, The amps , decoders and wiring. How loud can a typical gud quality movie theatre go.

@LBM: From your posts, It seems that you measure the frequency response and check the graph quite often. Does looking at the graph influence the way you alter the audio setting or the vice versa where both are inter related. I think its kinda interesting bcos once some music sounds nice, you can correlate the graph setting and use it as a reference while forming an opinion.

Can you give me some information on the measuring equipment and their accessibility to an enthusiast.
