Sorry guys... I will post smaller pics in the future... Can you please go the the first post in this thread and confirm that size is fine with you.

In case of the recent post, dunno why one of them is small and one XXL. Photobucket, the image host downsizes pics automatically. Both source images were the same size, dunno why ones larger...

I dont have access to edit that post now... else I would fix it

Still thanks for the feedback, regret the inconvenience...

We are running close to 130 Amps on the Getz electrical system without any stiffening capacitors. And there is absolutely no strain on the electrical system.

Hyundai electrical systems are pretty good. So go ahead

Instllation started-- GETZ GLX

Guys I have finally started installing the system myself today - So expect more trouble in the future.

Current material available with me

Pioneer 7750 +1681 ( 4 way coax) got them down from Singapore before I found this forum

BL 606CE

Intending to fit JBL in front and Pio in rear.

Still looking for the nice sub

Starting problem

I have only connected the HU and rear

1. The radio signal is very poor

I have crosschecked the fixing on the top - tightned it. Put switch cleaning oil also
TO HU It is only Push in. ( BTW the Antena cable on Getz is way short)

I checked the continuity it is ok. Made all tuning manually etc.

Any sugesstions

And 7750 supposed to be good

with IIID tuner and all. My old setup sounds much better.

2. The Door Glass Hits the speakers--- MDF rings required.

Can I just take a Marine ply and get it cut in round shape or these rings are specially made.

3. No matching holes on Getz doors to mount the speakers.

I think with MDF ring I can do the matching.

MY guess is the antenna is not making proper contact. and the pre made MDF rings might be cheaper than making your own. but yes you can make your own.

Thats true... check your antenna connection. I had no tuner or antenna issues with the Pioneer. Also, antenna cable is standard length. It may be stuck somewhere. Try easing it out with your hands.

Navin is right. Make your own. Cutting with a jigsaw would be easy. Then smoothen the edges with a wood file and then sand paper. If you do not want to buy a jigsaw, use a hacksaw blade. It is time consuming and laborious with a blade but the thrill you get is terrific. You should be able to get waste MDF pieces quite easily. What say, Navin?

OH My God. Hacksaw No. I think I will borrow the jigsaw from one of my project sites. I can easily get it cut. Any specific tips on MDF.

Marine ply preferable I think. What about painting it. any sealent required around them- Say silicon sealent to make them airtight.

Attena problem stillnot going away. What I found after further research that it has become highly directional. My old KEH santro is much better in that aspect.

It is one of the roof mounted ones like swift. Should I try a chinese make inside the car one. Are they effective. What I remember from my basic oldf days is antena should be atleast 6 -9 inch for FM

Ref MDF: Actually any ISI grade MDF will do but if you want something that will be nicer try and use marine grade. Actually if you find MDF diffcult to work with even VOID FREE marine grade ply will do. I would just use what people call "lambi-putty or carpage" to cover teh MDF/PLY.
