I think the Sony would be enough. You will be driving just the sub.

Sorry, I forgot the wattrice ratio. Actually, I would consider getting myself one of the PA275 for a sub.

Before I bought the Pio 6100F I was thinking of buying the PA275s. I have been thinking of going in for a sub. Sam suggested I use my current amp for the sub (bridged) and 6x9s. The fronts can run off the HU amp. I am still thinking what to do.

I read the other thread.

vivek,u should turn the HU's internal amp off,if possible and buy separate amp for subw like sony 502/PA275 as turning internal amp of will give u better sound which i found out recently.navin/JB/gunbir/sam will agree with me.

I just think if we r spending more than 40-50k on our systems,we should use best settings possible to get best possible sound, obviously.

Budget is a little tight. So, I might have to try it out with this arrangement first.

Lets JBLfy!

Every penny was worth. every penny. I spend 12000 INR today for my dream ICE setup that was pending for months.

Many thanks to Navin, KB100, Karthik247, Vivek, Gunbir for their comments, which helped me get a superb setup.

1) Blaupunkt PA275 ; bridged at 200W at 4ohms
2) JBL GTO1000B
3) Twister cables/wiring kit.

The story of deciding the amp. I was gonna get CS60.2 but ended up buying 5 (Five) PA275. They cost me 4k here at Trivandrum. I am using one of these amp and the rest are sold out (tbhpains bought it frm me) before I booked them with the seller.

Its a bloody tiny amp with loads of power. It even comes with various accessories like extra fuse, a kit to get rca out from no-rca HU!, etc. Remote gain control; sits under my frnt dash and has a powerful blue led! and then some plastics covers to change color of amp

and! a Certificate of Quality test; Tested by an engineer when it was packed. He has hand written teh amps specs when he tested it, teh day etc too!!! Does it come with other amps?

JBL GTO1000B; why? Simple, it has a powerful sub in a tuned box for it. Not at all heavy as one might expect. Superb!

Twister; JBL cable set was too costly and hence got this. VFM I guess.

So; its 4k + 6.2k ( special prize as I bought off all PA275 teh dealer had) + 1.65 = 12500

I am one damn happy man. Phew what a bass.!

Pix by tomorrow morn.

never thought that such a small amp can be so powerful. And more over the install was too easy and it was free! I have to get Twister cable for old pio setup too now and my new installer isnt happy with the old installers job

The new installer was trained at malaysia or so last month( Pioneer training camp or so)

I am thinking if I should get myself one of these 275s for myself if it is available here. But then I am trying to build a subwoofer for my home theatre setup. so funds are a problem.
