@Gilead: the MTX bass tube actually has an inbuilt amp and if that is the case, then all my worries are sorted!
I don't mind drilling a bit of the plastic part, but am not at all for drilling the metal given that the sea is quite close to our house.

@Gilead, i have not experienced them personally but yes I have heard them and I know a person who deals with these products and also installs them. He is a good installer and I can vouch for him. He does a simple but very good job and he is also a very famous among some big installers in chennai.

If you have any idea of installing them please pm me.

I think you are getting mis-guided for these product Auditor is not even linked 1% to the Focal, just its the same copy as an underrated/mfg. product like Boschmann (BM Labs) which is supposed to be a localite product.Have a comparo:

@Ramie-paaji, Auditor seems to be the economy brand of Focal. Most the the data-sheet links in their web-site point back to Focal web-site locations.

The 938 is good, but why not the GTO 948? Has some great reviews as well. Find more below

Edit: I'm sorry i overlooked the 638 for 938. But anyways the 638 is good too, are you looking at these for your rear fills?

@ramie2400, I was right and you are wrong..Auditor is the economy brand of Focal. Both are from the JMLabs in France.

Thanks Sathee46, actually I don't want such powerful speakers in the rear so that it may over-shadow the Sub.

That is the reason looking at GTO638 which is a 60 watt 3-way speaker rather than the GTO948 which is a 100 watt speaker.

It doesn't matter, 60 watts or 100 watts. It's going to play with only the power you feed it. The 6X9 would be a little better with bass response, but that is only if you need it.

Pr: get the GTO 948. I have them as my rear fill and they sound fantastic. I sat for 5 mins in the back seat of my car listening to them after parking in my office this morning. There is no way they can 'overpower' a sub if you get the tuning right. And like sathee46 said, it entirely depends on how much power you feed it.

arjunrudra is running 948 via an amp and it sounds even better in his car. Mine is run directly off the HU. You can listen to my set up if you want.

GTO 948 is good. Even without an Amp, it can give you decent Bass.

Just be bit careful in getting a matching Amp (also, in choosing the Xover frequencies), else it can spoil the Substage.
