hi guys,
my dzire vdi dont have usb drive to play music. i bought a moderator which can hold and play songs from a pen drive. but while moving songs dont play fully, it repeats or jumps to next song, next song so on. so it has become in car torture. now i am thinking of buying an ipod or mp3 player and connect it through aux cable. will it be ok? has anyone tried this? or is there a better way to listen songs apart from using cd?

Pls reveal his/her name .

On a serious note, I guess, you meant a modulator or adapter?

I think aux cable should be fine. They are meant for additional audio input.

Looks like you are talking about FM transmitter which fits into the cigarette lighter socket and takes in a USB flash drive to play songs from? Can you post the pictures.

My USB FM transmitter (it is by Roadmasters/VR3 something like VRFM8 - MP3 / WMA / DVD / USB FM Transmitter) which I purchased in early 2007 from Fry's does not exhibit this, but, the sound reproduction is worse than Vividh Bharati on AM radio (my VR3 device is 1st or 2nd gen product). It can't handle higher bit rates very well. I rarely use this device. I think, you will be much better off buying a genuine MP3 player and then connecting it via the aux in your car's head unit.

@vsh, your plan of playing a PMP / iPod through the Aux-in is good - that's how most people do it. I assume that your HU has Aux-in brought out. The connection from the PMP / iPod is from the headphone socket.

The other way of playing an iPod is to get an HU that allows you to control the iPod through the HU controls or the remote (steering / handheld). In this case the cable from the HU connects to the iPod's cradle connector (bottom, rectangular), and also charges the iPod.

Pioneer DVH-3190UB Song list

Gurus,
I have the Pio 3190DVH. Everytime I play the songs the name appears as "T-001,002" etc. Will I not be able to see the name of the songs?, Any kind of arrangement to be made to the HU or it does not support it?

My Friend is planning to Book a Punto Active Multijet next week. I have a responsibility to install a decent entertainment system in his car. He has budget of around 25k. Please suggest me a decent setup which should include
1) Head Unit
2) Front and Rear Speakers
3) Amplifier

component speakers on santro

gurus, Can 6.5" component speakers be fixed on santro doors ? santro does not have factory provided provisions for speaker fitments on doors like i10. How much of modifications would this involve ? thanks

Infractions: 0/1 (5)

the dash location in the santro is pretty good. Unless you have a pretty good (30K+) budget, stick with coax in the front, and reinforce the sound with an amp /6x9's in the rear

i agree that the dash location is good. but we can only fit in a 4" speaker, we cant upsize or can we ...

for the rear fills i have a 3way infinity ref 6*9 and a pioneer sub at the back. i'm using a 4 ch amp to drive them.

couple of weeks back a friend of mine iced up his i10 with pioneer HU and polk db6501. NO amp. I liked the sound of it. i would like to have a similar component speaker setup on my santro. plan is to drive these components with my existing 4 ch amp and give my sub a rest.

hence the Q, can 6.5" components be fitted on santro doors.
