It's really amazing and is really clean. It'll work brilliantly with the illusions.
Perfect sweet sounding.
Hi Abhinav ,

How much did you pay for the HK470 ?? Did you push for a discount by using the Yeti's reference ?

Btw, which other amps did you consider before picking up the HK ?

Thanks !

Guys, I'm planning to revamp the ICE of my car (I know revamp sounds too good, but it's nowhere comparable to the High end in my case)

I have a budget of around 10k for the Head Unit. The options I have shortlisted along with their prices are:
1. Pioneer 8850 (Rs.10000)
2. Pioneer 7150 (Rs.8900)
3. Kenwood KDC-BT7539U (Rs.12,490)
4. Blaupunkt Hamburg MP57 (Rs.9,900)

I'll be pairing them most probably with Alpine 609 in the rear and Alpine/ Blaupunkt/ JBL in front (4").

Right now I'm liking Pioneer 7150 and Kenwood 7539; 7539's availability seems to be an issue but not sure of it and of the price either. Please confirm.
I'm not aware of 8850 specs; I want Rear USB, 3 preouts (all have), Mp3, AUX and Bluetooth is optional (But 7539 is dominating my mind).

Please suggest the best amongst the 4. Moreover Pioneer's output are of 4 Volts and that of Kenwood is 2.5 Volts; will this make any great difference?

If I'm not able to get 7539 then what should I go for Blaupunkt Mp57 or Pioneer 7150; considering I want good bass. Your support will be highly apppreciated, am very much confused at the moment.

Thanks and Regards
Tanveer Singh

The 8850 is a really nice head unit. I think it has time alignment too. Does the 7539 have TA? If not, the 8850 seems to be a better bet.

Even im looking for entry level HU with USB

After few searches I got my choices:

1)Kenwood 543 - abt 7K (this one is very famous)
2)JVC R506 - abt 7K (no where in team-bhp i can find any info. more info req)
3)Pioneer 2190 - abt 6.5K (famous too. However not looking for pioneer as such)

These prices are all with B&W.

I want to fix one between JVC and Kenwood. Not much is mentioned abt JVC.

different drivers are placed in different locations in the car and thus there is a delay in the sound from each driver reaching the listener.TA helps a user to set the distance accordingly on the HU so that the sound from each driver reaches the user at the same time thus making the music more enjoyable. For example if you play a sub on a normal HU with the sub in the boot you would feel the bass coming from the back but in case of TA you would feel the bass coming from the front.
I hope I am right and you get the explanation.

Listening the the only test I understand/recognise. The Gurus might argue otherwise but I am old and obstinate.
Thank you.

yess. I wanted to know what are internals seen in the picture.

Panasonic CQ-RX322W USB CD/MP3/WMA

posting it here too as a reply to my query....

I bought Panasonic CQ-RX322W USB CD/MP3/WMA from AutoShop, Kormangala.

I already had JBL GT5-963SE in rear and Sony Xplod in front.

There is no details of this Head Unit anywhere in Team-BHP

The head unit is great! Very crisp and clear sound. Delivers great Bass too. Had great fun trying out all genres like Rock, Osibisa, La Bionda - High Energy, Santana, Techno, Benny, Bollywood, etc.

SQ is needs change for every genre to sound right!

I have speaker boxes and sound very punchy. As mine is Zen volume of 33 is perfect for real-punchy sound, also speakers don't give up. After that a little jarr kicks-in. Need to lower the bass to sound right.

Next will be to upgrade front speakers.

Overall for ard 6K with B&W (2 years) having most of the features, i think its a great buy!

Hi Soundexperts,
I need one more help. Before here are details about setup I have.
1) HU: Indica Vista Clarion OEM Head Unit
2) Front: Component JBL GT5-S265c
3) Rear: Ovals JBL 947.

My OEM Head Unit drives all speakers. I am happy with loudness and overall sound quality. Now my question is,
adding an Amplifier will improve sound quality? Will I hear difference with Amplifier or Its just loudness amplifier improves?

Adding an amplifier will give your comps and rears more power and thus increasing the overall SQ and not loudness.
Also your speakers will have more power to play around with.

Eg: Consider you have 75W RMS speakers.
In your case, the HU will be able to deliver only 22W RMS to speakers.
But when you are adding a amplifer, which can give 75W RMS,your speakers will be getting enough power and they will be sounding pretty good.

TBHP wont have such deatails you'd be better served by Panny's own website for such information.
