Guys,

i have been observing vibrations in the hatch door caused by my rear ovals on the tray.

went to a installer to check out damping cost only for the hatch door.
he quoted me Rs2500 with installation.and was offering a brand called Wurth
and scosche for Rs3500 with installation
Are these prices reasonable?

generally the damping material come by per sqfeet rate, how much sqfeet will he use for damping.

damping material rates are anything between 120/- sqfeet to 400/=per sqfeet.

First check whether the door alignment is OK - drive on a rough road with music off to figure out what is rattling.

Care to do some DIY damping? Get some closed-cell foam (shiny black). Remove the hatch plastic cover. Roll broad strips of the foam and tightly stuff between the inner and outer metal surfaces of the hatch in as many places as you can. Make sure that all exposed cables are pushed between the stuffing and the metal so that they cannot not shake.

Also take out the number plate and fix once again with double sided tape backing so that it does not rattle.

is there some hindi and reggae sprinkled in it? then its probably the one by stereo nation.

the song has been covered by a lot of artists, so pinpointing the exact one might be hard. the neil sedaka version, which i belive is the original, is the most popular

There's one version by Andrew Sixty. Very popular disco track of the 90s.

Looking to buy speakers for my car

Hi,
I am looking to buy a set of speakers for my cars, that is to be fitted in the rear door panels of a Skoda Fabia. Any one has good suggestions. I am currently looking at JBL, a one which has a separate tweeters and speakers. I live in Hyderabad. I'll probably also need a good enough person to install them as Fabia comes with a company fitted audio player.

I suggest you read this thread as it covers installers in Hyderabad.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/ask-gu...hyderabad.html

There are many good speaker brands out there. I would suggest you short like 3 or 4 and listen before buying. Each speaker caters to a different taste.

I only know two songs that had "Oh Carol" in them in the 90s. One was Andrew Sixty's version, and the other one was by Stereo Nation.

Since you're saying it an electronic track, it must be the Andrew Sixty one. The original mix starts with the vocal. Maybe you are talking about "Andrew Sixty - Oh Carol (The Ultimate Mix)."

And here I was thinking of Neil Sedeka - shows why I cannot ever be trusted for anything concerning ICE.
