The 1204D is a dual 4 ohm voice coil subwoofer, the 1202D is a dual 2 ohm voice coil sub. The GT4-12 is a single voice coil 4 ohm subwoofer.

The GT4-12 is a cult favourite and sounds excellent. We were forced by demand to re-introduce this product, after discontinuing it in favour of the GTO1202/4. That itself should explain what I think of the GT4-12

So should be the power, I guess. Since you are on a very tight budget, it might be a better idea to look around for a used amp - like a Pioneer 6100. I recently picked up a 2 month old JBL CS60.4 for 4k ;-)

Did anyone notice the part that says, "Torture Tested". That's one hell of a tagline for a sales pitch.

Is 1202D better or GT4-12 SVC ?

And what about Pio 306 DVC vs 1202D vs GT4-12 ?

Why i am asking about the above is because i was at my ICE guy and he suggest Pio / Kenwood over JBL.

He showed me a Kenwood Sub which was for Rs. 4800 and a DVC... Don't know the model number but it had Silver grey cone (Very Stylish)... He said that this Sub blows anything within 5K..

Not really they are just being candid. The amp was made for use as a Turture Device.

Hydra, I am shocked. You dont know about MosFATs. FAT are Fast Attack Transistors. Far better than FETs (Field Effect Transistors). THe Slew Rate is superb. 1000V / us +. and I thought you were an audio Guru.
