There are many options. Get a mono amp like JBL CS301.1 and a JBL sub box( GTO 1200B i think). Also look at Pio mono amps which should be around 12-13k. 301.1 is rated @200W @ 4ohm ( me think so). 300.1 is of GTo series and hence more powerful but costs 13k or so. Also, you need 2-3k for amp cable kit.

Me thinks You are getting confused regarding the model numbers man. Its the JBL CS 300.1 (and not CS 301.1 as you say). And its JBL GTO 301.1 (and not 300.1 as you say)

The JBL GTO 301.1 (rated 204W @ 4ohm) is available for around 13k whereas the JBL CS 300.1 rated (200W @ 4ohm) is available for around 10k i guess.

Both good mono amps but i would pick the JBL GTO 301.1 even though it costs around 3k more than the CS amp.

Sameerji, how do these two amps compare????

To start with I will go with one sub. How much is the JBL cs3001 and the alpine 345.
The Alpine 345 is available for 19k in mumbai. Whereas the JBL CS 300.1 is priced at something like 10k

I would suggest a JBL mono over the Pioneer one. Secondly the price of the JBL GTO 1200B boxed sub was 8k(when i checked last around a month back) with B&W

you are right! Damn, can I edit my posts before Sam sees it?

so @ 20k, heres wht I would do:

cs 60.4 10k + a sub box 8k + an amp kit 2k

but if you meant mono amp config then CS300.1 + sub box + cable.

you also haev an option of getting a CS60.2 and briding it and powering teh sub; cheaper option.

The CS 60.4 was suggest coz I thought you want a 4 channel to power your frnt compos ( yah you have to buy that I knw).

But if you want anotehr option for 4 channel; look at Pio 6100/6150 too.

Sam would say that 301.1 is a great amp and it is. But for a budget buy, CS 300.1 would do.

thanks for the input Prince. Assuming you went through my original post. Could suggest any other 4 channel amp to drive the 4 cones inside the car since the Alpine is way off track of my budget. I would go for the Mono block JBL cs3001.

How about JL subs? I read about them on a couple of sites but still not sure about it. SSPL India in Bangalore are the dealers for the same. Has anyone checked the SSPL outlet?

Yeah, please visit them na. SSPL has priced JL products out of the park... imagine a 13w7 for 80k!!! yes! They seem intent on only showing off JL, and selling the crappy ultimate audio china samaan. Tsunami cables are decent though.

JK, I have decided on CS 300.1 but looks like I might have to stretch my budget a bit to accomodate the 4 channel amp which am not ready for at the moment.

Here is what I have decided on:

I already have a Sony 222 (sad, I know), will use them for now to drive the Inifinity ref9613i, and later upgrade with a good 4 channel along with a set of compos. Before that I need to know if the Sony 222 mate with the Infinity.

I will get CS 300.1 to drive the sub. Can anyone please give me more subwoofer options.
