They say that it has 2 preouts. 1 could be connected to the Amp and the other to the Subwoofer. Amp can power the 4 speakers (front 2 and rear 2). 1 preout can directly land on the woofer. Donno if this idea is fair enough. Need your suggestions.

They claim that its 55 x 4 and the RMS is 18.33 I got this from the following calculations - (220/3)/4 = 18.33. It has a RCA line out (need some explaination on this a bit from you all)...

HU looks good and looks like an Alpine HU.

Looking forward for your comments.

Cheers,
Anand.
Just today someone has asked abt carbon speakers.I dont think if any expert here have heard abt this brand.this will be another yamato/tomato like product.

No HU can directly be connected to subw.I mean HU cant power subw.

Most of times these rms values r exaggerated,almost double.These r like 8-12wx4.

If it looks like alpine, then it should be named as carboncopy [of alpine] and not carbon.

U can buy sony/pio HU with this money which r far better than any locally available.

Pio has Hu that support direct connection to HU. I doono how good the out is though.

Carbon looks like ALpine and sort. Maybe they are the T-series in car audio ( like inside mechanics and electroncis would be some sony or sort; jsut guessing). They advertise a lot on auto mags. Their LCD looks fine and is priced ok.

We saw a demo Carbon safari in Hyd more than an year ago. It came to the same place where we were having tbhp meet. The system sounded decent at that time though we felt it's a second grade company.

I think Nitrous would be remembering more about this.

Have already got the 5750 HU and am thinking of JBL GTO 636 for the front doors.
Already have a pair of Bauchmann speakers in the front, which I'll be moving behind in the rear doors.
Bought them in a hurry before a long trip as JBL was not available.
Although the sound quality is quite OK.
The bauchmann's are 2 way and the 636 is 3 way (I think).
As I drive personally, I'd prefer JBLs in the front and bauchmann behind.
I'm not very keen on installing a tray in the rear of the SWIFT.

Kindly give your opinion about this combo.
Thanks.

We could have helped you further if you could tell us more about your budget, listening preferences etc. i would suggest you move your Bauchmann speakers to the rear door and install JBL GTO 606CE for the front doors. IMHO, it would be better if you go in for components(JBL 606) up front rather than co-axials(JBL 636).

yup, a 6x9 would be too big for an install and since You Drive; it should be a 606Ce

^^^^^Yeah listen to then man !!

out here most recommendations say to stick clear of even Sony speakers...Pioneer even. So all the carbon, yamatoma and likes should be given a miss as for a couple of hundred rupees you can atleast get a brand that specializes in car audio, even if they arent the best!!

My budget is a little tight :(
I listen to mainly retro english and hindi tracks & a lot of FM
Don't drive long distances.
Besides as I've already installed the 5750 and a pair of bauschmann speakers, nothing much can be done about it except moving the current bauschmann speakers into the rear doors (as u suggested) and buying a new pair for the front door.
I happened to call the number given by sam regarding discounts on the JBL speakers but unfortunately his stock of 606 is over.
All he has now is 636 and that too very few.
Was thinking of ordering them as I was getting a good 40-50% discount with bill and warranty.
U see, it's a matter of 2000 bucks !!
I doubt if I'll get any better option for the front door of a swift (6" round) for that much . . . . . . will I ?
