Hey guys, GET AN AUTOCAR!!! It has the brochure of the JBL 7 series coming free with it. Also, the 7 series features a push type tweeter attenuation section. SO GET IT!

Alpine

Sam,

I have a Alpine 9833 in my Scorpio with front Alpine rseries comp. Rear Doors have Alpine r series comps and at the back Alpine ovals with a Alpine woofer and 2 Alpine Woofs and I am very very satisfied with the Perf. However, Te 9833 is too bloody complicated to operate Man, however I am sure you will have no dificullity.

I have 9853 which is same as 9833 except glide touch bar.I really dont know why many would complain that its too difficult/messy to work with alpine 98** HU.All one needs to do is spend some time reading its manual and then try to operate it.

It was my 1st ICE and Infact i found it very easy to operate just after install & was surprised that time also about ppl complaing abt it.

Menu is pretty straightforward but one just needs to go through manual 1-2 times while sitting in car .I just spent 30 min [twice] sitting in car with manual and doing all the settings. And obviously now i am enjoying the fruit.

No JK. I do not want to spend on car audio for the moment. I need to finish my home theatre speakers first. Sam, Navin are all helping me with their ideas to complete my home theatre system. That is all.

LBM you would have to buy the entire kit...

the SA-3055 RTA, if reqd the external SPL display, and of course the SPL-190 mic/sensor.

I think Deepak Asrani (Dan) down south was representing AudioControl Mobile. Im sure someone from Chennai / Bangalore can give you his contact details.

But it is a serious piece of kit at close to US$2000. Look around the net for PC based solutions which are way cheaper.

Why do you need a 9833 when you got the HK drive? You could make do with a 9830! hint! or 9847.

Friends,

Need your feedback on Carbon systems. Please visit www.thecarbon.com Let me know if I could go for this HU - Model # CMP 6540. They say it costs Rs.5500/-. Decent price for the specifications. They say that it has 2 preouts. 1 could be connected to the Amp and the other to the Subwoofer. Amp can power the 4 speakers (front 2 and rear 2). 1 preout can directly land on the woofer. Donno if this idea is fair enough. Need your suggestions.

They claim that its 55 x 4 and the RMS is 18.33 I got this from the following calculations - (220/3)/4 = 18.33. It has a RCA line out (need some explaination on this a bit from you all)...

HU looks good and looks like an Alpine HU.

Looking forward for your comments.

Cheers,
Anand.
