I actually have some Killer photos of one of our Octavias. But no clue how to show you these.
Read through This thread on how to post photo's. Basically upload onto www.imageshack.com and copy/paste the "thumbnail for forums" link here.

I'd love to see the Octi system pics.

What do u think?
Hey Conan,

hmmm 16cm speakers on all four doors. The wagon r doesnt have very large spaces within the doors so you'll have to put spacer rings and cut holes in the doors.
Problems faced :
1) The grills get loose and in a few months, every time you slam the door, the grill falls off. Worse, the grill falls off when you OPEN the door, leaving your speaker grill on the road for the kutta to pee on.
2) The speakers will be heavy and in a while may get loose and rattle. Also dont forget that there's a good chance it may interfere with the mechanics of the window.

Honestly, I wouldnt do it.

The 5610 is a sensible deck to buy.

Also if you plan to put 3 pairs of speakers, atleast 2 coaxial and no sub, an additional pair of tweeters MAY make the entire sound too sharp and treble friendly. If thats your cup of tea, go ahead.
Honestly, sound is like colour. Percieved beauty, only this time in the ears of the ummm... ummm... belistener.

If you want loads of treble, you go right ahead, never mind what people think. Your car, your sound

I hate treble...bass is the one for me,
was just ignorant on the mechanics of the system.

By the way, this is one of the cars we setup at the Mumbai Motor Show a couple of months ago. Enjoy.

Holy mother of automotive audio! What the freakin hell are those things in the rear of the Palio? The last I remember, Indian Airlines were using them on their planes as power!

Cheers Sam,
Where are you located? Glad to have someone who really knows his stuff here.
I liked some of the work on that Octy. I like to keep things VERY simple and stock looking.
I would like to bring my car around for some advise and maybe a component or 2. I know you are not soliticing here but I am! :-)
You can PM me if you want to take this offline.
P.S. Maybe when tha Palio comes back I can drop in for a listen too? puhleeeseee. :-)

Hi Sam.

Welcome. I just hope this audio power doesn't lead to accidents on the road :-).

So what are the good audio combinations for Swift Zxi? I am in US right now and would like to explore options of getting the best combinations - speakers, tweeter, subwoofer, amplifier (if any)? Please suggest. Thanks.

What speakers would you advise for a Santro.
Front should be stock size and rear can be made bigger.
Say budget of 10K.
Woofer will be a blessing
Second hand though.
Was thinking of a Cass player with a CD changer, Vipers Pioneer 12" woofer and amp and speakers.
Say around 7K for speakers.
I like the Yellow cone speakers for looks.

Midrange Component Spkr, Which one?

Hi Sam,

I have a pair of pioneer tweeters in the front and Lightning Audio Coaxials(6x9) at the rear of my Esteem. The tweeters are fixed near to the sun visors. I feel there is a lack of mid frequencies inside.

So I am thinking of going for a pair of midrange (component) with crossovers in the front. Can you recommend any speaker model which will fit in the front speaker slot of esteem?

The speakers are connected directly to Pioneer DEH-P5750 head unit. Later on i am going for an amp so the speaker as well as the crossover should be able to handle it.

See Sam you asked for this! :-)....
you see....I got a Sail and an Octy and I want to mate the 2 so that i can choose to play any Hu from any car and ooh... i want a speaker that sounds good and occupies no trunk space....and gives bass to 20hz....oh and what if remove the spare tyre and fill the gap with a custom amp that is exactly 16" dia and 150mm deep and oh.... and i forgot ...what if I add a CD changer to a HU with an external DAC and ....you get the drift Sam you are now gonna be innundated with every crazy audio question on the planet incl. some from me. ha ha ha ha :-)
