i have not compared audison to belden. in any case my current interconnects are home made using RG58 cable TV wire. surprised? :-)

1. the optimum listening position for the front speakers would be mounting the woofer in the door and mounting the tweeter in a custom pod somhwere near your inner door latch handle (not arm rest). but doing this will mean a lot of custom fiberglass work (that is why I chose the Opel Astra/Sail and Skoda octavia as my cars - they have tweeter pods just where you would like them).

2. resale on electronics is meagre. resale on the FX93 will not pay for equivalent front components or subwoofer leave alone both.

note i did not say discard/sell the TS20. U might have use for them once the basic setup is done.

Heh s0uljah, since you inquired about my system.

Alpine 9857 head-unit
JBL GTO 936 - Rears
Kicker Ex-4.2 - Fronts
I had the Pioneer P1Y which was on sale in the Market place section but its sold now. I was expecting a lot of difference between the P1Y and the Alpine 9857 that is the reason i asked my uncle to get it from Dubai, but IMHO its the same, Infact i find the P1Y was better in terms of richness of sound especially the mids .

No amp as of now but am looking forward to adding an alpine 4 channel in the near future. Guys could you help me out on this? Budget 12-15k, Priority is sheer SQ and not SPL.

I was thinking of upgrading the rear speakers to Infinity Kappa 6 X 9. GUys, what you think? Is it sensible to upgrade Rear Speakers since the Rears are just fillers i guess? I wanted to go in for components but the rear deck is already cut as per the size of a 6 x 9 and i do not want to lose the OE parcel tray for a mdf. Any suggestions will be welcome .

Cheers

prince, change on thing at a time. An alpine 240 can be got for 11K or even less. The Kappas are more refined than the GTO but I am not sure you' notice on most modern music. If you can try them for free before buying I would suggest a listen (in your car).

mclaren, I would love to have the 10" (dont need the box). How do we get it to Mumbai? and if you ever decide to trade in your 450 keep me in mind. it will go very well with my 340.

My personal opinion is that 6x9 dont just act as fillers. Its rear door spk which some find as fillers.
But i like to play all spk even when i am alone in my car as i dont like just front spk w/o rear spk, just personal taste.

Even my extra subw[infinty 1040] is for sale along with 2 sheets of 10/32" dynamat extreme.

The rear speakers can also help balance the sound stage given that when you are sitting in the front you are close to either the right or left speaker.

yeah........thats what i meant. Also raer spk r necessary for those system which r not SPL/SPQL based.

When i sat in Gunbir's car, trust me i couldn't notice that rear spk were off, only front components were on and still sound stage was so good.

In my system though i need rear spk on jsut to get the feeling of surround sound/sound stage

and navin that sound from front right channel has suddenly disappeared since sunday.

After initial disappointment navin,i am jsut in love with my system, its SQ especially after JB finetuned it.

The zero bit chip might have a leaky cap (SMD) around it. The sound can come and go. lets hope it stays off. :-)

Hello boys,
Please forgive me for not being here as often as i would like to. I've been really busy.

Here's a little peace offering. A recent video sent to me by JBL Russia. This Truck was built in 3 months in Siberia and honestly, my mind is bending just seeing the ICE in it. Trust me, take a look. It's a 6MB file, here it is
