WHY DO WE HAVE WOOFERS ON THE REAR OF THE CAR ONLY

i know you will say space is problem in front, but can you comment how will the music be like and will it cause any damage.
i mean how about placing a woofer between the HU and the floor of car, just in front of the car gear stick( i was think about zen, i saw some space there)
will it break the dash board to pieces or....... any comments on this

Up Front Bass is like the holy grail of car audio. With a good front soundstage, a front sub sounds awesome. You can construct a decent sub enclosure for an 8" sub and have it between the dash and floor of the zen. I would personally run a good 6.5" component set with 100w cont x 2 + an 8" sub up front with about 150w cont. This will give you great integration, timing and dynamics. Very nice SQ if used with a good HU and a nice Amp (maybe a 5ch bridged to run 3ch).

However, if you're looking for deep sub bass that can be heard 2 blocks away, this would probably be the opposite of what you want.

it will suarely sound gr8 , but dont you think the vibration in front of car will cause problems, gear stick will be vibrating , cluth peddels acc. break peddals will vibrate and might cause problems,
i think CD player wont be able to work if there is so much vibrations near dash board...
do you think placing a woofer in front of car can cause any problems, or there will be only slight vibratins which will not hamper u r driving.

please tell wat does.... SQ.... mean

the bass from an * inch sub wont be a lot.so much that it causes problems as you fear.the cd player will work fine and your brake and clutch pedals will not vibrate.

SQ= Sound Quality.

Apparently a lot of dealers in Pune are apprehensive about recommending Alpine or Blaupunkt because they are worried about the service issues of these company. They are more then keen on selling Pioneer and Sony, because these HU's can be repaired easily it seems. Is there any truth in this.
One more thing I noticed was that almost all of them recommended JBL over Xplode. They said he JBL coils cannot be duplicated hence the JBL stuff is always genuine and plays wells too. I heard both of them and I was very impressed with JBL's quality. Xplode looks flashy but JBL really sounds amazing.

1. Alpine (excpet for a certain 2005 batch) hardly need service.
2. Anything can be duplicated it is only that the more people buy Sony so the duplicaters find that easier to dump in the market
3. IMHO, JBL walks all over Xplod

I dont know about Alpine, but I know Blaupunkt service is handled by MICO. And the buck stops there I would say.

My zen's audio setup....

HU- pioneer KEH-4025 cassette player attached to the Panasonic mp3 discman..
front : some kenwood 110W can hardly hear them when pioneer is blasting from behind
rear : 3way pioneer 6995 300W

What will be best upgrade for 5K....
I just want a decent thump.... not too loud..
Is it possible within my range????

5K...hmm...a Pio 306F sub would cost you 3.5K. 1K for a MDF rear deck (free air) and 2.5K for the sony 502. 7K is about the cheapest you can get away with.
