@ ak, mate get good (combos) front speaker + amp + sub

pls do read navins post from link #2352.

rear speaker are just fillers and if u have a nice compos at front 4.5k to 5.5k , u can stick with the company rear speakers for now. would save you a lot.

power the compos and sub using the 504z and rear frm teh HU

yes jk i had gone thru that,
i have the blaupunkt 4" speaker (the thin ones which cost me 3.1K).
r they good enuff.
i feel the sound from it is better than the previous set of speakers..
i'll decide on the sub and the amp option soon

the object here is not to waste anything.

so get a sony 504 amp to drive your 4 speakers for now you can run it in 4 channel mode.

then when you can afford a sub and a nicer amp you can do the following.

1. if you get 1 sub get a nice 2 channel amp like the 220 and use it to drive the front and use the 504 to drive the 2 rears and 1 sub

2. if you get 2 subs then use the 504 to run both subs. use a T220 to run the front and the HU to run the rear or use a F240 to run front and rear.

if you do intend to get a sub and can live with a little less bass for now i'd recommend a 6" coax over a 6x9.

hey AK what i would suggest is keep ur stock rear speakers..anyway we advice that the rears are to be used as just fillers..so upgrade ur fronts to components..that way ul be spending around 6.5k for the 606ce..the 5.25'' will be even less..going by the previous setups in a few cars im sure one can fit the 5.25'' without too much trouble(even though the company recommends 4'')..its been done in my zen,and in a baleno..so it can be done,just needs some innovation..
go for the sony 504 and a sub..for free air install id say get the pioneer ones though even sony makes sub for IB installs..
so keep ur rears..get the following:
1. 5.25'' compos for the front at 6k..
2. sony 504 at 3.5k (without B&W)..
3. pioneer 306 sub at 2.5-3k..
so the total would be around 12.5k..

i think this is the best u can do and will sound really good..what say navin..

The 606 CE have MRP of 6k. Have the prices changed?

yah and i ws suprised to hear the price of new cs series. gto 426 was at 2.5k and cs526 was at 2.25k!

and gto506 should be 4.5-5k

hey mac,
was the idea of changing the front speakers to the blaupunkt 4" a dumb one... i had changed them just because i thought it would last me some time and more over, i felt they sound good... so is it really necessary to change them to 5 1/4 compos!!! navin any takes... :( coz i wouldn't want to invest again on the fronts!!!
i'll do the sub and the amp as mentioned .. pio 306 and the sony 504 (how much with Bill & Warr?)

Avi, you can use the 4" for the rear so you dont have to waste them.
