3. if you can dont put anything under the seat. (a) if you have a flood like we did on 26/7 the component is dead. (b) it will get kicked and abused.

the easy answer to that particualr query would be "use cakewalk" but then if you read those links you'll learn more.

That folder surely must be heavy... and that data backup thing must be hard work to do everyday, isn't it.... Went through pain when I had to backup close to 60gb of mp3s and downloaded files when I got my new pc....

Your links, no doubt, are a good source of referrence materials... cheers to that..

I'd be able to pay 9 months internet bill with 7k.... What on earth did you download to incur such a huge bill, aseem?? it sounds way too much for a month.. Btw, which ISP is this??

And navin... what ISP are u using?? just 1800 a year?? sounds sooo affordable... Btw, is it a broadband connection with unlimited download preference??

Tx

suggest you switch to the "commercial/business" 1200/pm plan of BSNL...download is abt 5 GB/month and the rental is only Rs 1000PM if paid in advance. I am planning to shift to that after some bad exp with my current ISP.
All my friends having the BSNL service are very happy and they tell me that the reliability is very good even if the BSNL staff dont know a thing abt DSL

Let me also add my 2 cents worth..

1. well in a pinch U could use the HU's amp to drive the coax in the rear nothing more. prefer 2 amps though. 4 channel for sats and 2/1 for sub.
In this setup you also have perfect control on the speakers, fader and subwoofer...In fact when I dont want the sub thumping away...I just switch it off and put it back on when I am on some livery music..I have JBL 606 CE in front (6 inch components) , 936 (6*9 3 way coaxial) in the rear powered by a JBL cs 50.4 (67*4 rms) amp. The Sub (JBL 1200D 12 inch dual coil) is powered by a JBL 301.1 monoblock amp (212 wat rms approx).

2. the spare wheel subs aren't that bad only u loose the spare wheel noth something i'd advise. i had the same problem. so i used 2 small tubes instead of 1 big box. it was a compormise but I live with it.
I have used a SUB in a box and put a concector ..so in case I am driving out of the city or need more space, just take the sub out and put it home ...in general, in the city I dont need the full boot space but then I have a Baleno and so the boot is significantly larger than the swift.....BTW..navin....what is the boot issue in your double bed boot octavia...you could have 2 subs lying there and will still have a decent space for luggace left
3. if you can dont put anything under the seat. (a) if you have a flood like we did on 26/7 the component is dead. (b) it will get kicked and abused.

the flip side of this setup is that the amp runs much cooler..since yuo will normally use an AC in the cabin or will at least air flow in..and generally the amp gets hidden pretty neatly below the front seat so not too much fouling by legs happens...in the boot, in peak supper..the amp almost gets fried in the confines of the dicky..higher temperatures mean noise in ampification and maybe cutoff .......I have this setup in my car and I believe this performs pretty well..Just to make sure that everything is fine.. I keep touching my bigger monoblock amp while listening...and have never felt the heat sink warm up..of course hyd does not have mumbai floods ...but if you have floods like that than nothing short of taking the amp out will help !!!

Due to recent budget constraints I am not left with much dough to invest in my music system. I have finalized Sony 504Z as my amplifier, due to budget. Now I want to know whether I should go for a Sony subwoofer in a local box for 3k, as at the present time I do not have 5k for the JBL tube.... do you think its worth it? Or should I wait and just go for the amp first and maybe add a better woofer in 2-3 months time? Please let me know, any input is appreciated, so everyone, please chip in with advise.
