It will less of a trouble especailly if the OEM HU has been equallised to sound nice with the new tweeters (in tweeter pods). The older V-AT had coax speakers in the doors and to get the tweeters to be audible they have boosted the treble in the OEM HU by 15db! When better speakers were installed this boosted treble made the sound too bright.

Most 3rd party speakers (JBL, Infinity, Boston, Polk, etc..) are far better than OEM speakers and offer a more extended high frequency reproduction than OEM speakers. Hence when used with a OEM HU they might sound bright (since the OEM HU might have been equalised to compensate for the shortcomings of the OEM speaker).

Thanks for the information navin. yes high treble sound for long journey will be terrible.

Got the following quote from Orion Electronics SP Road Bangalore
Front Component: JBL GT /GTO 608C = 4400 Rs
Rear : JBL GTO 638 Cost = 2200 Rs

Let me know if there are better speakers than this in any brand. I don't mind the cost. But i don't want to go for Subs.

And is there need of Amplifier if i am not going for subs ? Will Amplifier make any difference?

Audio experts, can anyone suggest me for best combination for my ANHC? Is the above configuration good enough?

JBL is good but I would alwyas recommend that you listen to atleast 3 competing brands. Blaupiunkt's Thc series or Alpine are other options you can look at...less available are Hertz, Ground Zero, and Illusion. A bit more upmarket is Infinity.
