Anyways I am also planning to upgrade my Amplifier setup. My current setup reads as follows:
JBL GTO 75.4 amp
JBL GTO 607c - 70W rms - 2 Ohms
JBL PS552 coax - 55W rms - 4 Ohm
JBL CS 1204B Sub rated at 250W rms - 4 Ohms

* Blaupunkt out of business? No, not at all. Maybe your vendor had other reasons to push Pio or Sony, like higher margin for him?
* By "finally settled" do you mean you have already bought it? If not, you should definitely consider other brands - Blaupunkt (as you wanted), Pio, Kenwood, Clarion, Alpine, even Panasonic. Any model that has 3 Pre-outs. If your vendor is reluctant, there are plenty of others
* Is there something really disturbing you with your rear speakers? If not, assuming that you drive yourself, there would not be much gain in changing the rear coaxes
* Is the amp that you have mentioned available in India? 5-ch amps do not sell in India so much, hence availability is always in question. If you really want to amp the rear coaxes, you could think of a mono to drive the sub |
