WOW, an 8 month old ICE upgrading process here ? How did I miss this place ? Chiragh, you must be the best person to comment about brands you have already used so far (without prejudice). I am desperately looking for someone in Bangy to get an auditioning for helping my mind to decide what I need to chose. How I wish I were in CH or you were in KA !!

the 75.4 is not in the same league as the HK.
I'll always recommend the HK over the JBL 75.4/1004

Thanks guys, I am in a dilemma between brands and the budget. First and foremost thing is to get an auditioning from someone who has done some decent work.

Second part is deciding if I need to have only the front compos and a sub (with or without AMP) or have a normal 4 coax with or without a Sub. Mine is a Fiesta with stock HU, if I have to upgrade it, I am looking only for 2 DIN units like Pioneer P6050 or Kenwood DPX MP5110 like stuff. I believe in single brand set up than mix and match too (meaning same brand front, sub and AMP).

eliminate the coax option shaju.
Go for the front + sub or the front + rear ( off hu) + sub combo.

Why o why a double din. If you are looking for good quality sound, avoid the double din.

Go for the Clarion DXZ 785USB.
Its a great VFM HU.
Has TA and all and should be yours for the taking for not more than 11-12k ( almost as much as the double dins cost)

Secondly, you can take a 4 channel amp ( a decent one) and power the fronts + sub with it ( if funds are less)

Or else go for a 4 channel ( 50w * 4, give bridged power to the front compos) and take a decent 2 channel amp ( 200-300w @ 2/4 ohms) and bridge the channels to power a sub.

Remember if you want cleaner bass, take a sub which is either a 4 ohm SVC or a 2 OHM DVC and give it around 200-300w @ 4 ohms.

Or even the 200-300w @ 2 ohms plus a 4 ohm DVC would sound good.
Get good RCAs and speaker cables.
Power cabling can be anything.

You'll be good to go.
But its nice that you want to audition stuff.

Audition as many brands as possible and choose the one you like the most.

Cheers.

Thanks for the input, even I am leaning towards the Compo+Sub set up. Now the audition part, thats the most difficult one. I cant find anyone as of now. I have posted this in couple of threads, but so far no invitation from anyone. I heard one in my society, but thats Sony Xplod DINCHAK which doesnt attract me.

Chiragh, please dont kick me out from here, I didnt want to create a new thread on my requirement as there are too many ICE threads to cover up. Bit info here and there, I should be able to decide, taking enough time to cross-check, compare, audition etc. I cant afford to upgrade every 2 weeks !

Pioneer is good ? I thought it comes in the economy range. I am cross checking JL, DLS, Ultimate etc as I have some connections to get it 50% cheaper. So, I might get best brands for the price of Pioneer. Starting another thread was thought first, but I wont be able to take the number of advises that could flow, which I am sure will end up in a higher-end ICE set up (knowing my nature myself!). So, I am happy with few tips here and there, which will serve my purpose.

Pioneer makes stuff for everyrange... Just a perfect example is P99 RSII

And stuff is real value for money , what you pay for you get it !!

I said pioneer cause it makes everything Head , Amps , Sub , Compos , Speakers etc etc so you can easily pick everything of 1 brand
