abhi well said.. all that matters is the SQ at the end of the day... Clarion is not all bad , i got a chance to listen clarion but it was not that great to import it with taking so much of pain when i was getting a comparable head or a better head in that price without any efforts ...

And am still trying for jack in US to import Clarion for a long term project

And spec wise you mean to say USB and all , i will never buy a head on basis of USB or IPOD or Bluetooth !!

And i would request you to come to Chandiagrh asap and tune my mono & head

i would request not a begin a war , start a different thread for comparison !!

I have heard both the HU on similar setups, the 8850(had for about 6 months) it has the old pioneer sound but I like the Clarion 785 better in terms of sound output. It is a little more open and clearer. But if we compare the Pioneer and Clarion the Pioneer wins in all aspects. Built finish, features, display, and lots of other things.

Any was the decision has been done. Enjoy music.

And about tuning a setup I think the person listening to the most can tune it the best way. Do some basic check like polarity and levels and you are good to go.

My advice is please keep the EQ to FLAT. And loudness BBE, comp, and other features to OFF. Switching them ON will make the sound worse. If you think that the treble is more or less type adjusting it from the crossover rather than increasing it from the HU.

If any doubt do post here....we all here to help !!!!!

Hey Chiragh, How did the auto TA work?

And how effective is it compared to manual TA?

Here we go again - Meri Ma ki daal v/s Teri Ma ki daal!!! Guys, this is Chirag Bir's install thread, and the only thing we should be doing here is share his happiness, not spoil it. Comparing tech specs belongs to the Products section - care to start a comparo there, @abhibh?

I agree with you. I have seen lots of people switch on the LOUDNESS as it increases the bass and treble when listing at lower volumes (lower volumes means if the volume is from the scale of 1-10 then from 2-4 like giving just back ground ambiance) where they lack since vocal parts comes in first. But when played at moderate (it will be from 7-8 the ideal tuning volume where the gains at perfectly set) which is the correct listing level I would advice to switch it off and then listen as it will give you a better output as loud ness will make every thing distort.

Hope I am not to technically or confusing here.

For the polarity part he can easily check the negative and positive wire going from the amp to crossover and the cross over to speaker. I simply mentioned this because when I met him last time his speakers were wired in reverse polarity.

About tuning your setup like gains..here is a very nice link...

@ LBM .. Polarity was tested this time .. and compos are playing very well.. Actual fault was in car's original wiring , now am using all new cables so no issues with that.

@ Clipto.. i am learning how to tune my setup , but for perfection i need somebody to help me out. i don't have tsting tracks which do help a lot so waiting for abhibh ji to come and tune it !!
