I have been quoted 9000 by a dealer with b and w in delhi.And i doubt they are fake as they are with b and w.How can i check if they are fake or not?

Sorry to bump an old thread but didn't know where else to post this.

I ordered a set of Focal Access 165 A1 component speakers from Raipur (my state's capital) through my local Accessories guy who yesterday contacted the supposed dealer/distributor of this area (who sent a price list of Focal from Preeti Trading Corporation (PTC), Mumbai, stapled inside a Focal brochure earlier), and received the speakers today, along with a warranty card inside which is blank, except for the printed Serial Number.

Price billed was 9,999/-.

Attaching pictures of the same. Can anyone please shed some light and tell me if these are genuine?

I don't have any idea if these are original or fake, and my only source for verifying the same is this thread only.

Thanks a ton, Ramie. I am so relieved to get your confirmation of it's genuineness.

The only worrying factor here was the pricing - 9999/- seemed a bit low for a Focal product.

And I remember the price list had some Focal coaxials priced even lower - the 165 co-axials were priced at 7999/-, and there was an even cheaper co-axial set (forgot model name) @ 6999/- (cheapest Focal on offer). Hence my skepticism about their being genuine. But now, I can sleep happily!

Getting my car on the 29th. Installation comes immediately afterwards!

Yess the pricing it absolute correct for all the focal products.Off lately there in an increase of most of the products from 5-15% so slow running products are expensive the fast running products are the same.

The product you have purchased is good and of a very hi-built quality.Post your audio installation thread,would love to see it.

Thanks, my friend. I am happy about my decision now.

I shot an email to PTC about this and they also confirmed that my Focals are genuine.

It's really tough to get any good company stuff around my area. Just imagine - there are no shops/dealers dealing in JBL/Infinity/Hertz/Morel products here or at my state's capital! Hence I was very skeptical of my Focals' genuineness. The most easily available stuff are just RFs or MTX. Limited choices. Hence you can imagine my excitement that I could source a pair of genuine Focals somehow, going by the remoteness of the state I live in (Chhattisgarh).

My ICE setup will be rather simple (going by your advice in PhX's thread) - Pioneer 2490 HU (should get it by 25th), Focals up front, either GTO 638s or Prime R1653s for rear doors (6.5s, depending on either's availability), spacer rings, City harness, no amp, no subs, no damping, internal wiring already provided by Honda. Maybe/maybe not a reverse camera.

I don't think it would need a separate thread - will merge it with my ownership thread after I get my City. It's a pretty basic setup, really.

you have the right ones, the crossovers are in line and you definitely get them.
you might not have noticed as they are connected to the speaker wires.
the next time insist on a focal amp, it is not much difference and also they make a lot of difference

He is not the dealer for Focal. At least not anymore. In a brief, curt call, he said No when I asked if he is the dealer for Focal.

The post was from 2009, 13 years ago when I got my Swift done up he was definitely the official importer for Focal Car Audio in India
