My Vivo phone does not unlock/wake up while connected to wireless Android Auto Hi Everyone.
I have been an avid reader of Team BHP with frequent posts showing up my google feed for several years. To give a short info on myself, i am just a guy next door, working as a Manager in an IT company. i love cars & bikes and understood several technical details through auto blogs, primarily Team-BHP.
i own a Hyundai Creta, 2020 model - S Variant. Please note this variant originally supports Android auto only through wired connection. So i stumbled upon a YouTube video last year, where we can enable wireless Android auto in this variant & the rest is history. Been using it for over a year and it works flawlessly most of the times.
In the past few months, i have been facing this trouble. The phone refuses to unlock (screen is black) when its connected via Android Auto. I can still attend calls, make calls, use Maps, music apps etc via the head unit without issues. However, how many times i ever hit the lock/unlock button the mobile screen wont turn on at all.
Now this happens not only when the car has its engine turned on, but even when it gets turned off (upto 3 min - assuming the power to head unit shuts off after this time). This hasn't caused a major issue, have learnt to live with it, however its bit annoying at times . E.g i make a quick stop at the nearby Kirana store to buy milk/ biscuits, as my primary payment method is UPI. Alternatively if i move far away from the car (out of bluetooth range), i can unlock my phone. I can unlock the phone if i charge/ connect to car for a moment & disconnect (the screen wakes up). I am yet to check if this happens on another phone.
Has anyone using wireless Android Auto faced this issue so far ? Any suggestions to resolve this issue will be helpful. Thanks in advance. |
