On the other hand, I did realise how much the regular (non-AA/data) charging port was heating up my phone and figured it's best if I continue using the rather unreliable wired AA than trying this gizmo.

I've placed a return/refund request.

I tried everything it said in the manual (developer mode, video resolution, switching off Google Play services, multiple replugs, direct plug, plug in with attachment cable etc.) and it just won't show up - neither under Bluetooth nor under Wifi.

This is the SMT-AC01 AA+CP model and I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S20 with Android 13.

Thanks everyone for the excellent reviews here, I bought MSXTTLY SMT-AC01 (2-in-1 Android and Apple version) for 5K (after discount) from Amazon. I had selected this stick version over Carlinkit due to form factor, though Carlinkit also has now stick version.

Just plugged this in USB A port in my HyCross VX and in fewer clicks, the system was ready and paired with iPhone. Apple Carplay started without any hiccup and was running smoothly. Checked all apps like Maps, Music, Calls etc. If examined closely, display resolution is less than the wired Carplay but it is hardly noticeable.

After initial setup, used 2/3 times so far and the linking/syncing is buttery smooth.

Hi guys, thanks for the review. I bought this device and have started using it for the past 3 weeks, and it connects seamlessly almost 95% of the times. But the music is delayed by 2 seconds, and lately I’ve been feeling that it’s being delayed by 3 seconds or so. So far I’m satisfied with the performance, but let’s see the longevity of the same. Will update the thread again in a few months. I too got it on Amazon for ₹5k.
