I am a TUV 300 T10 owner, 4 years old, with reverse camera fixed from the showroom. Currently, I am facing an issue, wherein the camera is getting activated 3 seconds after the reverse gear has been engaged. Earlier it was instantaneous.

I wanted to check if it is ok. Also, if I wanted to replace the system with an after market one, I am willing to do that, provided I get the same features as my current system. Currently, my inbuilt infotainment system provides the following:

1. Inbuilt navigation by MapmyIndia.
2. USB, Bluetooth and Radio
3. System alerts including
   • Driver seatbelt unbuckled warning
   • Low fuel warning, including reserve fuel warning
   • Handbrake engaged warning
   • Door open warning
   • DTE

My usage of the system is only to listen to music and take calls. Navigation is only via Google Maps/Apple Maps, without any audio alerts. No Android Auto/Apple Play usage - such as messaging or video watching.

In light of the same, need your thoughts.

Please do not replace your infotainment system as it is integrated into your car and any aftermarket system will not be available with the options that your inbuilt system provides as it is integrated and rooted to your car.
Regarding the delay in reverse camera activation, in all probability its a repairable issue and dont seem to cost you much and the same does not warrant you to change the system itself. Stick with your OE infotainment system.

Have you tried resetting the HU. In most cases, Factory Reset resolves the issues.

If above doesn't work, try re-flashing the latest software yourself or get it done at service centre.
