5th-gen Honda City now comes with Google Assistant

The Honda City sedan now gets an enhanced version of Next Gen Honda Connect, which comes with Google Assistant.

The 'Honda Action on Google' is an extension of the integrated Connected technology offered in the fifth-generation City and works with the 'Ok Google' command. The car already comes with Alexa remote capability.

The 'Honda Action on Google' tech will offer 10 voice-enabled features, that can be executed via Google Assistant-enabled devices like Google Nest Speakers, Android phones, etc. It is also supported by iOS devices. These 10 features can be used with the text-based command functionality of Google as well.

The Honda Connect platform gets four new functionalities and a total of 36 features. The new list of features includes Valet Alert, Fuel Log Analysis, Cost of Maintenance Analysis and Enhanced options for Service Products.

they should make youtube tutorials on how to exactly set it up and make it work. I have been trying all day and i now have a sore throat and headache

Ok Google, ask Honda to make the same quality cars for India as they used to.

Honda should make the Honda Connect work flawlessly before adding all these extras.

Has anyone got this functionality working? I'm not able to.

IMHO Honda should invest in improving their Customer support rather than these gimmicks.

With this Google Assistant, I presume the Alexa is not available anymore.

Going purely by online tech reviews, the Amazon Alexa was a more responsible system compared to Google Assistant.

I asked my android phone to locate my Honda and my phone immediately offered to link up my Honda car to my google account. Then it seamlessly linked my car to my google account within next minute by getting Honda to generate an OTP .
It was the most easy thing to do.
