Thank you for the input. Presently, I am out of station. Will have access to my car in mid March. Will try then and report findings here.

To those using the RCD330 plus along with reverse camera and optical parking sensors - could you please confirm if the RCD330 plus shows the parking sensor display along with the reverse camera image?

for reference, The RCD/RNS 510 shows like this:

Hi,

If you install OPS along with rear view camera in RCD 330 then camera is activated by default when you engage reverse gear. You get an option to choose OPS display but at any point of time only one function is available.

Overlap between video from camera and OPS is not available in RCD330.

Regards.

Vhruday,How has been the experience so far?

Are you facing any glitches or issues after the upgrade?

Re: VW Polo/Vento : Replaced stock RCD320 with RCD330 Plus + rear view camera installation guide

Dear members,

I met an unexpected dead end while trying to update the firmware of my RCD 330g plus 087A with the Red theme update. I have been trying to update to red theme but when I selected Update software and then update NAVI. AFter that there was no blue windows CE screen, it is stuck on Software Updating window 0%.
There is also an error tab opened at the bottom, I have attached image of the same.

I tried to run Total Commander using the RUN fuction and successfully copied all the files but still when I restart the player by long pressing the power button it comes back to the Software updating screen.

Anyone else who has faced similar issue while updating the firmware?

No it doesn't show it by default. Not sure if there is any setting to make it do that.

I am attaching the relevant pictures, hope they are helpful. I can provide you any other detail that you may require to find out the root cause of my problem.

It is just one error that I am unable to get rid of, rest almost everything is working, I am not getting the desktop window but still with the help of RUN function I am able to access everything.
Thank you.

Trying doing the update with sdcard formatted to exfat instead of FAT32 format. Let's see if that helps. Let me know.

Tried doing that already, even tried using different memory cards but to no avail. All the files get copied but when I restart the system by long pressing the power button it again comes back to the Updating software window with two tabs open : Radiocommwindow and Error.
I am unable to get past this situation.

You should not have done it in the first place just to get the red theme. I understand how sucky your current situtation is. Let me do a little R&D on it.

Are you not able to use the system at all?

Did you try to delete all the files that you put there and roll it back to original state?

Thank you for understanding my situation.

I cannot agree more with you, I should have not fiddled with it, especially when it was functioning perfectly otherwise. But on the other hand the procedure seemed very simple and there were positive reports everywhere. Hence, I took the plunge.

Currently I am not able to use the system at all and all my long drives (which I happen to do alot) have become very boring.

I have not tried deleting files yet, I wasn't sure about this option because I have already overwritten the updated files over the original ones, now the only option that I can think of is deleting these files from the Resident flash and copying them all over again. I am not sure if i can get hold of the original files now. Am I missing something?

Okay don't delete anything for now. Do one thing, try to contact seller on AliExpress, if I am not wrong you bought it from seller named Yacht. He has changed his store name to something else. You should also contact Desay SV through their website http://en.desaysv.com and see if they can be of any help.

Going on long drives without any music, man that gotta suck!
