Well they're both Alpines. So they're both reliable, well built and good looking. I personally like the new one's (in this case the MRPM650) in terms of looks. I really think the new one is the MRD in new clothing...

I will stick to the topic Because I had never heard or used a kenwood amp before about the two alpines we can compare them both.

The mrp is a lower range than the mrd.

If the spec red clearly we see the freq response of the both amps.

mrp->Frequency Response: 20Hz - 200Hz (+3/-3dB)
mrd->Frequency Reponse : 20Hz-200Hz (±1dB)

Also the mrd has a digital display for all the parameters it also has a volt meter and a temp meter also.

From my side mrd is better amp than the mrp. But If there is a budget problem then mrp is ok................

Listen up bro. ALPINE is not GOD nor his gift to mankind. Like any other company, they have had good products and lemons. Their past products were great. We still swear by their 2002-03 amps, their earlier ones were even better SQ wise. But we have used two MRDM605 amps recently in different cars and we were not impressed with the output.... rest its your money, your choice.

605 is costllier than 650 coz former has digital display,voltmeter,temp meter and varibale-speed fan.Otherwise 650 [400x1@4ohm] seems to be more powerful than 605 [300x1@4ohm].These ratings may be at different voltages,i'm not shore though.

kenwood KAC9120D also is good buy at around $200 on ebay.com and its specs looks nice though SQ is totally different thing.

Gunbir/JB, which out of above 3 would u recommend if i have to install 2nd subw?

RSJ you dont really need a second sub. Heres what I think you should do. In the Getz one good sub does quite well. You need more power all around. Either get a better, more powerful 5ch amp. Or get a mono amp for your sub.

For you, I wouldnt recommend any of the above. If you plan on keeping your JL amp, why dont you look at a matching mono from the E series.

Its not that i need more bass or my subw/amp is unabale to produce much bass,i am just thinking of putting 2nd subw in my ICE as i have it with me.[Just thought abt it,no real plan]

o/w my subw is great in producing tight,punchy bass and i am really enjoying my ICE's SQ as i am travelling more than usual these days.I should be satisfied with this much bass.

As u said when we met,system has taken some time to 'open-up' but now its really giving me good feeling.

My amp's bridged 5th ch is giving out 150rms @ohms[12.5v],so while driving it must be around 175-200w,and that should be sufficient for any subw rated at 250w.

And as advised by JB,my problem of amp's shuting down has been resolved when i rearrnaged rear spk wires.It must have been leaking and touching some metal part as told be JB.Now my amp doesn't shut-down momentarily even if volume is more than 28-30.

The only thing i lack is good quality original cd's as not many shops here sells audio cd coz nobody is willing to spend 120 rs for 10 songs when they can buy 150 songs for 25rs.For them,to hell with audio quality as these cd will be run on chinese made cd players.
