I had ordered a cam and a cigarette lighter socket splitter on 21st Jan. The cam is awaiting delivery and the splitter is awaiting shipment. A second cam, ordered on 22nd, is awaiting shipment.

Thats something similar to Ebay guarantee. However this will be a black mark for the seller. Hence, they will usually mark it as shipped sometimes and later actually ship the product.

It is yet to be shipped with just 14 hours till it is cancelled automatically.

The first order placed on Jan 17 is shipped.

Not too bothered about the second one getting cancelled.

Is there a battery operated Dashcam that can run for 6-8 hours?

I am okay with

• VGA resolution
• Charging the device before and after a long trip

I think action cameras like GoPro could give you long hours of recording on a single charge, but still may not be 6 to 8 hours.

Another idea is to use a regular dashcam and power it using a power bank. A big power bank like 8000 or 10000mAH should give very good backup time.

If you have a power bank, i suggest you to use that for your dashcam. My dashcam (BP 2.0) which is used for one hour per day, my power bank (ADATA PT100) can run for more than a month before i need to charge it again.

You'll be very lucky if you get 3 hours running time on a GoPro or similar action cameras

So,I guess seller may not have actually despatched yet but given a random tracking #.
OR,as it is not sent by Registered Air Mail, tracking # is unavailable.
[AliExpress tracking#s usually have "RJ..digits...CN. I have in the past tracked them successfully]

Mine is 10000 mah. This should be more than sufficient in your case. Apart from dashcam, I also used my power bank to charge my mobile (occasionally when i had to drive with google maps ON) and bluetooth ear set.
