Audiobahn doesn't make damping sheets. Neither does Alphasonik. Unless its a secret product they havent told us about.

But I have come across some mats with these brands printed on them. They're certainly fakes.

Macha its a no brainer, for 5k you will get a fair amount of noise-kill that you can apply yourself over the weekend, you saw my thread right.

I told you there was something fishy about the audiobahn!

My car was really fine with my new install. But now i feel everything is vibrating and falling apart. i would need damping very soon.

NOTE - Donations accepted in form of Rolls or leftover damping material.

It shows that you need to play it at low volume some times...

Will damping sheets help reduce engine/road noise in Stile 1.6 ? What would it approx. cost to do this ? Also, suggest someone who can do it in Del/GGN

Can one think of damping as "soundproofing" ? e.g. when I sit in my car and listen to music when the car is parked and still (and the engine is off), the sound is just too beautiful. But when I am driving around in noisy Delhi, much of the music is lost to noise. So would damping help me get a better sound like in the first scenario?

actually you know auto engineers can actually make your car so sound proof that you wont hear traffic, horns etc.. but that is unsafe. a certain ammount of ambient noise is essential, this is why there are laws that ensure that people dont drive with headphones on.

So other than that you can reduce road noise by adding sound damping to the firewalls, door panels, under carpet and heatlon to the engine compartment. Even road noise is essential. It tells you how fast you are going. Also many of us change geas based on the audible signals we get from the engine so blocking all these sounds out completely will hamper the driving process.
