Bharat Audio in Worli carries the 2 brands I mentioned. You can call them at 24932735.

BTW I roll my own (I mean wires not cigarettes) :-)

just curious....on a scale of 1 - 10. 1 being no effect and 10 being most effect.

"What role has good quality cables have in improving the sound quality?"

navin ji, simplified for u....no technicals, just points hehehe.

Good quality cables will not add their own colour to the signal. That is they will deliver the signal to the other end as it is.

The brands like Monster and Belden are just thieves.

Cables are a widely (and hotly) debated subject but I can tell you this from our own experience...

Like Vivek said, good cables will not add/deduct anything to/from the signal. That means when you upgrade from a low quality cable to a high quality one, the sound should clear up. Soundstage should widen, vocals will be more centered, bass will have more definition, treble will smoothen and mellow down. Of course other elements like noise rejection, line voltage fidelity matter as well.

Jb and I have used exotic varities like Van Den Hul, Kimber etc to mass market products like Lightning, Monster, Tsunami etc. We have also had opportunity to ABX some of these. Lets just say interconnects are very important in an SQ setup and the influence the interconnect will have over your equipments sound is significant enough for you to care about the cable you putting in.

sbsm U R absoultely right about ur comments and I agree with u fully. But where would the company R&D cost would come from. U are also true the cost is to high , and I agree with for a good RCA U will have to shell out 5.8k (2 channel 6 meters) for it. It a Hell a lot of money if U use 3 rca cable which r a bare minium for a 4 speaker and a woofer setup it will set back u 17.4k man it is a cost of a good amp or a HU if I am not wrong. There are cheap models available but then the cost is to much again (1.4k for 2 ch 6 meters). I am not afraid of the cost, but It is not that quality always come through a PRICE.

hi,,
as lbm pointed out, it's not just the cost of the product when you buy the product, you have to look at the overheads involved,, the factory rental where it is produced,, the employee expence,, the marketing and advertisement cost,, shipping cost to various countries,, the import duties,, distibuters margins,, vat,,delaer margins etc, etc....and everyone in this excersise has to earn a bit otherwise the idea of the excersise is defeated,,
so next time you pay rs 150. for a cup of coffe in a five star,, you know what all you are paying for,,

regards,,
driven

You are right. But the wire you are talking about is Woofer wire and speaker wire. The wire i am talking about is the wire which comes from HU to the amp.It just brings electricity to power amps that sit.
