I do not have seperate final price, but the initial quote was

MP6043U - HU - 8800
DCX 100 - FRONT - 1700
DB690 - rear - 4500
MDF TRAY - 850
All with bill and warranty.

Finally I paid 15K for the same setup and got Rs.200 worth refreshner free. It was done at EVO in Cambridge Layout (owned by a TEAM-BHPian), neat installation.
According to me TORQUE in Indira Nagar is a rip-off.

Why do you say so? TORQUE gave me a quote for a setup with Pioneer 4190 HU, hertz comp and polk audio speakers for about 17K, did not look too high price( offered me a 15% discount on MRP)
How much does Hertz Component Front Speakers cost with Bill and Warranty anyways? MRP is 5990

OT:
I checked Torque for some of the accessories like Alloys, horns and other components. If you see almost all boxes I found there with MRP tag removed or scratched condition. He quoted 750+installation for roots windtone :-)))) actual MRP of this is 485.

I suggest you to check @ EVO in cambridge layout for the same ICE set up and decide.

Actually i did go to EVO, had heard good reviews about him. There was not much price difference- after all how much can one get when paying for items with B/W
I got hertz comps at 5990 MRP from EVO minus some 300 rs, Torque was giving for 15% discount. Overall the package deal was fine from EVO and i am not the kind to bargain much...but i think Torque is also a fair dealer as per this experience of mine...

Whatever comments I made about TORQE is from my personal experience. If you are happy with the deal and their service go ahead and do the installation.

I am thinking of upgrading my front co-axial to comps (IL 4.1 - Rs. 5000).

This was THE FIRST time ever in my owning cars that i went for a new setup. have always inherited the set ups in cars i bought and never added anything..had read good reviews about EVO- called him up and went there the very first day of buying the car.
I did no market surveys etc and just told him, am from TBHP so give me the best rate and decent set up for my requirements.
I got rear speakers as suggested by hom- Boston with plank. But in a few days wife did not like the idea of moving things out of the boot and having the speakers touch so went back and got them replaced. Lost 500 rs on the speakers which he took back but deducted 500 rs..i did not question why etc as i trusted his judgement totally. I did not get the HU initially at delivery so he lent me an alternative HU keeping a deposit which was nice of him.

What is your existing setup (HEADUNITS, SPEAKERS, AMPS, DSP,SW etc.) :

Head Unit : Pioneer 4190 SD
Speakers (Front): Hertz DSK 165 Component
Speakers (Rear): Lightning Audio Coaxials
Amplifier : Kenwood KAC-8103D monoblock 500W RMS @ 2 ohms

2. How much did it cost and when did you buy it?
Pioneer 4190 HU: I got it on a deal from the place i bought the car (car dealer) as i adjusted this against some free accessories, MRP 10500, EVO quoted 8500rs approx with B&W
Hertz DSK 165: 5500 with B/W
Lightning Audio Rear Speakers: 3500, with B/W
Other charges( harness, rings): 600

3.How serious were your about your system?

Not 2 much, wanted a decent setup, good HU - since was buying the first time at least wanted something nice but not that great. I did want something that would sound nice on the occasional time i needed to play my music and crank it up a little.

4. which kind of music do you listen to ?? prefer deep bass or how is it...

Occasionally metal, FM radio and lot of voice recordings( audio, not music)
We listen to music 20-30% max of the times we are in the car...

5. would you recommend it to others???

Its a good set up, have no idea compared to others, but looks like VFM. I suggest a lower end player, maybe 2190 would also do, but i just wanted a better one for the heck of it

6. Place where the install was done :
EVO

7. Which car? :
i-10 magna

8. Date of install :

November 7 2009
