I don't remember the exact figures. Together (including the sub enclosure) it was approx 12K, if I am correct.

My kind of listening, which is more on the softer side and for my budget, the GT5 is doing a good job

My setup!

1. Car
Hyundai Getz 1.3

2. What is your existing setup?
  • Head unit : Pioneer 5050 USB/iPod compatible
  • Front : Illusion Electra 6.1 - 6.5", 2-way component speaker system 70 watts RMS / 350 watts peak
  • Rear : Nothing
  • Sub-Woofer: Ground Zero Titanium GZTW 12MK² (30 cm 350 watts, 2" 4 ohm voice coil)
  • Amplifier for Front components and subwoofer : Blaupunkt GTA4 Special Mark II (RMS Power@4 ohms 4x60 / 2x180 watts, RMS Power@2 ohms 4x90 watts)
  • Wiring: Monster for power, Illusion Audio for speakers, Ground Zero RCAs
  • Installation at Boom, Carter Road
3. How much did it cost?
  • Headunit – Rs 7,000 (grey)
  • Front components – Rs 6,490 (B&W)
  • Subwoofer – Rs 5,490 (B&W)
  • Cables – Monster (don’t remember the price), RCAs – Rs 1,190, Ichibahn Fuse (again, forgot the price), Speaker cable – Rs 1,050
  • Neutrik speakon connector for sub enclosure – Rs 500
  • Sub enclosure – free
  • MDF plank for amplifier – Rs 200
  • Installation – Rs 1,000
4. How serious were your about your system?
Pretty serious! I like my music clear and well belted out.

5. What kind of music do you listen to?
I mainly listen to English rock (Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, Dire Straits, RHCP, Green Day etc), Hindi (bollywood and ghazals), Trance and electronic (PVD, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, ATB etc) Hip hop and sometimes Lounge (Karsh Kale, Karunesh etc) on long drives.

6. Would you recommend it to others?

The GZ MK2 sub is very nice loud and clear,as per my experience it cant handle much of Trance or House music with constant BPM,it sounds too good if you play Slow rock.Bollywood and some music with good detailed vibes,every sound details can be heard clearly.True VFM.. congrats Nishant,the Blau GT4 is a very nice amp
So when can i audition your system.Have you done the damping.If not i would suggest you do the damping it will make alot of noticible difference.

why did gta 4 costed you 6300/= i purchased mine for 4900/= two months back with
b/w.

i purchased it in agra, it retails for this much only.
you can also ask chirag_bir he has sugested the same amp to a member in
some thread,and the price he mentioned was 4800/-

Amounts to 45k INR but I was offered some generous discounts by Hermit Audio as well as Evo.

Pretty serious! Always appreciated sound and good recordings.

5. What kind of music do you listen to?

Rock, Full on, Ambient, dub. Anything thats musical to me

6. Would you recommend it to others?
Depending upon their budget... but yes !!
