Indica Illusionised

1. Car

Indica DLS

2. what is your existing setup (HEADUNITS, SPEAKERS, AMPS, DSP,SW etc.)

Head unit : Pioneer 6950IB
Front Doors: Illusion EL62 coax
Rear : Ground Zero 6x9s

No Amp/Sub yet

I bought all the equipment from FM Drive, Mumbai
The front speakers were installed by me and the HU and rear speakers by an installer in my city (not recommended).

3. How much did it cost ?

15k including everything

4.How serious were your about your system?

Before i joined T-BHP, i thought ICE was a waste of money. Now im dead serious

5. which kind of music do you listen to ?? prefer deep bass or how is it...

Everything. Sometimes at full volume but mostly at mid-volumes.

6. would you recommend it to others???

Yes but it'd be much better with an amp.

A very synergistic match IMHO...
1.The Genny has tight midbass, airy & detailed treble but slightly lean & laid-back midrange
2. This is nicely counterbalanced by the overall warm/mellow, gutsy and full-bodied sound of the Milles across the audio frequency spectrum
3. The result is very musical and emotionally appealing for all genres/instruments, especially well-recorded piano, vocals and percussion
4. The Milles are perhaps not the last word in "audiophile-style" detail & articulation, nevertheless they are reasonably detailed but also forgiving of less-than-stellar recording quality at the same time
5. The Milles also have bursting dynamics - great fun with aggressive drum, piano and saxophone playing. Am only wondering what a bi-amp/active setup would achieve
6. Add to this, substantial midbass output - now the blend between the front stage and the IB subwoofer setup is really seamless

In summary, a setup to really enjoy one's music with, not to analyse it :-)

MLk 165 review continued

I forgot to add:

7. Midbass & tweeter seem to blend really well in spite of the distance b/w the two, image height has also increased noticeably

8. Nitpicks -
a. Sounds relatively better when played louder
b. Slight glare in the upper frequencies that is noticeable for some recordings, wonder if turning off the HFC and using a supertweeter instead to extend the top end would address this...

That was a really nice review. You've got me salivating. I think I should stop asking for reviews

Seriously though, looks like you've got what you've always wanted. Congrats again, and enjoy!

I'd missed the updates in your thread. (All hell is breaking loose in my life -- Not much TBHP time nowadays.) Here's hoping we all see a Genesis Mono in there soon (Go active and attain nirvana!)

Why don't you put them X-types up in the new Classifieds Section?

I think Thouqeer meant 1.35 lacs. Though I suspect that would be MRP's and not what he paid. He is a dealer for all the mentioned products and Anwar's business partner (as you can see from his avatar)
