Hey CeebeeZee,

Where in Bbay was your ICE unit installation done.?

How practical is the use of the bluetooth enabled mike for the handsfree.

This Q's has particular reference to long drives and loads of talk time in between. So is this set-up more effective than an In-Ear bluetooth set that has serious battery-time issues.?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Hi Saurah,

Am currently evaluating a basic ICE set-up for my Indica Turbo. Stumbled upon your basic set-up and wanted to know your experience with it now.

Have you also done some basic damping as well.??

Look forward to hearing your views as it will help in my decision making.

Cheers

Two sets of components in the front, that too Velocity? Isn't the sound really shrill?

The two Blau's in front , especially Velocity - have given my exceptional clarity for the 60% instrumentals that i play.

The amp maybe discounted for this set-up - unless required.

I havent found it shrill yet, maybe its the placement of tweeters that have led to good acoustics here.

So farr...so good.

Cheers

I think he is running both sets off the HU. In this case, as he has no amp right now the HU may not be able to provide enough power for higher volumes. So he must have compensated by running two sets of speakers, but I don't understand why he chose to buy two sets of components instead of spending the money on an amp.
And I am using the VPC172 in my car. I don't find it overly shrill ( I can remember the days when I had the infamous TS20s :shivers: )

Yes Gentlemen,

I am currently running everything off my HU and hence there is an evident lack of power at higher volumes.

However, my taste of music luckily revolves around softer kinds and the distinct effect of dual components only helps my cause.

With time and some Vitamin - M, an amp will also become part of this set-up.

Until then, its just the sweet sound of music. Noise for later.!!!

Cheers

Indica Turbo ICED

Two sets of Tweeters - Yes.

One set off the corners of the dash.

One set off the roof, behind the rear seats.

That seems to work wonders for now.
