I get the 10th Char "R" indicates manufacturing year 2024 but cant find the month or any other details from the 17 char VIN provided by the dealership.

Yes. I agree with you. I stand corrected.

I checked online and found that for Hyundai cars, 11th letter denotes the plant of production and in this case M denotes Chennai plant from where the vehicle originated.

I calculated the VIN on Maruti VIN basis where as per my car VIN number , the 10th letter is R which is the year 2024 and 11th letter is K, denoting October month manufactured. I applied the same parameters to Hyundai VIN number and it wasn't correct.
