Wildon, would really appreciate if you can decode this VIN for my i20 that I have booked: MALBB51BLDM546038

I was told it's a 22nd March manufacturing date. Members, please provide your views if I should go for a car that is close to 2 months old given that 120 has sales of close to 6000 every month, presuming everything goes ok with the pre-registration check. The pre-registration check is scheduled for 11th May, so any replies before that would be of great help.please:

Its a Maruti Ritz and you indicated Maruti will have 21 characters. This is for my friend and I asked him to recheck it. Going by your standards, its a 04/2013 vehicle. Correct?
